Whats scares me is that somebody somewhere is making up some EU backstory for that old lady.

I'm might buy extra Ponda for the hands. I'll wind up with some odd hands on some used clone troopers, but right now one of them has a Wolverine hand anyway.

The "gotta have it now" people are the ones buying stuff from overseas on ebay, often at inflated prices. The rest of us just want the option to you know, buy at retail, like  how (normal) people buy any mass consumer products.

Kids like extra guns, they'd like extra lightsabers, too*. Watching some stop motion vids on youtube, some of which are made by kids, they use the extra weapons, the EMP launcher (?) is used as a bazooka. Going by my yard sale hunts, its also the weapon most likely to survive and be sold at a yard sale (got two of them this year).

All the clones that needed rifles had a chance to get them.

For those of us who do buy used figures that often come without accessories, it was an incentive to get some new figures.

Also, you can sell your unwanted weapons on ebay, same with the BAD parts.

*This is strange that lightsabers have only been offered in the Episode 1 accessory packs, vintage Kenner didn't include any in their mail-in offer and Bespin Luke's saber was soooo easy to lose.

I'd bring the concept back and make 6 assortments, one per movie...cut it back to 5 weapons per set but include some lightsabers.

Don't want to post this with its own thread yet, though if the powers that be want to they can.

Anyway, if you hate Jar Jar binks, the JD Front Page has bad news for you, and 2012.  :-X

That's it. I'm done collecting if they are going to make the first new movie Jar Jar Binks since 2002. Of all the characters they could make or remake for the Episode 1 rerelease, they are going to make one of the lead characters who had a lot of screen time and hasn't been updated in 10 years?

Got a few figures off Ebay, including Blackout (not a fan of his inability to sit), battle pack Geonosian and battle pack space Ahsoka. One that was thrown in was a Season 1-2 Obi-Wan with grey clone armor pads on his hands instead of white. Anyone know which version that is? I looked around and didn't see it on Rebelscum's archives. Or is this a hand swap "custom"?

I like the bunker raid where Han shouts "Chewie!" every minute. And stormtroopers die in droves.

The second A-Wing pilot is hilarious. I won't say anymore. It's too good to spoil.

The animatic bits aren't really deleted scenes, but  more like rejected production designs. It is interesting that the Corporate Alliance Tank Droids were supposed to be manned...by 4 battle droids.

If they'd actually bothered to ship Aqua-Droids in real numbers. Yeah, it's coming back at one per case. Not enough to cover those who missed them the first time around.

Someone pointed out a scene that  was stupid in the these episodes, the tube breaks and the prince's Mon Cal guards appear to fall to their doom...underwater? What?

I would've preferred Greedo. Sure, it would make no sense, but...

So what happens when retail doesn't get anything new for months?

YOU GET NOTHING. You lose. Good day, sir!  :P

So no more online order forms apparently.  :(  It's now saying "in-pack form required". You can print "sample forms"...which is like pointless. I guess Hasbro got swamped or greed took over.

I only printed out the early "incorrect" form.  :-\ Gives me an excuse to buy something new, yeah, that's it.

I don't get why Padme was there to begin with.

The animators just thought she'd look hot in a wetsuit.  :)

One other thing I wondered is the lack of a space  conflict near Mon Calamari (like Christophsis and Ryloth). Both sides just figured...let the other side land troops...what the hey.

Color me idiotic - I guess I wasn't much paying attention to all of this, as I went and picked up just the OT BDs today at Target, expecting them to have the OT extra features, deleted scenes, etc. But it's just the movies. Which I assume everyone else in the world knew besides me. And of course I didn't figure this out until I popped it in the player and saw no options for extras other than commentaries.

Not sure if I want to shell out for everything PT related, as I frankly don't care about those movies much at all, but we'll see. I would like the deleted stuff for sure, despite the fact that I've seen a lot of it over the years online.

So yeah. Here's hoping Target takes back opened discs.

Some of the deleted scenes from the set are already on Youtube.

The young leader stepping up to the plate plot never ceases to make me  ::) .  (Notice how all these Star Wars planets are monarchies?)

The Mon Calamari and Quarren seem like a population of maybe a mid-sized Earth city. Sure, this was just one major city, but there's a lack of a  sense of a global scale conflict there, especially when the highest ranking officer is "Captain Ackbar".

Apparently animating Boss Nass wasn't in the budget. WEESA OVERSA BOMBAD BUDGET! "Heesa retired!"

How the Gungan energy balls work underwater without...we may never know.  :P (I have no idea how they work on land anyway...ion weapons? EMPs?)

Jar Jar hugging Meena. Ha!

Kit Fisto got his green butt kicked by Jabberjaw.  Wow. Tartakovsky was much kinder to him.

I found it all pretty so-so. But I was tired when I watched it.

Personally I don't think the UPCs are even looked at. You got to remember the people opening these envelopes are dumping out the contents and counting how many UPCs there are and tosing them in the trash. They are not looking at them closely to see if this UPC number matches their "official" list. That don't have time for that. These people are paid minimum wage to open envelopes and enter your address in the computer as fast as they can. They could care less if you included UPCs from Star Wars or from My Little Pony.

That's what you think. In fact, each UPC is scanned, these mail-ins are primarily a way for Hasbro to determined what folks are buying, and who is buying what...that's why there's  "collector, parent, child" check box on the form.

I made that up.  ;)

I'm annoyed that I wasted ink printing out an incorrect order form, on the plus side my laziness pays off since I've yet to mail my form off.
