Nice work - there was an out of the way Walmart that as of a little over a week ago had about 7 more stormtroopers collecting dust...  I think i'll go down at lunch tomorrow on the off chance that they're still there.

There are websites that will charge you like 50 bucks plus shipping - you mail them your CD's, they rip them all and load them onto your IPOD and mail it all back to you.

I'm back home in So Cal for the holidays and am going to the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana to check out a special New Years Eve concert featuring Dick Dale and the 5,6,7,8's!

Fingers are crossed that Quentin will be somewhere in the crowd!

Now if the 5,6,7,8's were playing I'd go - as it stands, New Year's doesn't do jack for me.  The girlfriend and I are going to watch a movie and go to bed.

This is a horrible event, more than likely the worst to date in our life times.  :'(

In terms of natural disasters you'd be right - in terms of man-made disasters you'd need to remember Rwanda and the Sudan.

I work with a guy who's from Sri Lanka - he tells me his father's beach-house was destroyed - but fortunately for him his family is accounted for.  Talking to him for 3 minutes yesterday made this whole thing seem 10 times more real - and less like a media extravaganza.

There isn't even anything that can be said - I can't believe any of this is real.

The estimated death toll has risen to over 125,000 - just in the time that this thread has been around, 9,000 more confirmed dead.

How horrible.

Well, my 'they come in 3's - who's next' comment shouldn't be necessary.  I forgot that Reggie White died a few days ago - theoretically, that should be all until the next wave.

7958
That explains why it didn't come up in the Google search.

Jerry Orbach - being added now.

That's two that I actually enjoyed in 2 days - crappy.

The  Jerry Auerbach  thread watch is on.

RIP Jerry Auerbach.

They say they go in 3's - expect one more to die very shortly - I'm still guessing Abe Vigoda.

This has been a little more anti-climactic than I was hoping it would be...

Thanks everyone.  This was the first year I played FF so maybe it can just all be chalked up to beginners luck.   So does this mean next year I have to name my team Defending Champs?

Hey now, my girlfriend is a packer fan...

Anyways, I've gone ahead and added my own death notice to Rebelscum - and the list.

RIP Susan Sontag.

I didn't know about this endeavour until about March, so I didn't participate - although I do have all my receipts from about Feb on for tax purposes - so I could do a partial tally.  Either way, I intend to get in on this starting next week.

What...this isn't the same exact guy?   :-\

PS RIP Reggie :'(

This could be the bridge that brings Packers fans and Vikings fans together.
