Fahrenheit 9/11 took in another $7.2 million this past weekend, bringing its total gross to about $94 million.  Not bad.

Considering it's almost FIVE times the previous record gross for a documentary, I'd say so.

Yeah, this year the games in Gainsville. Actually, come to think of it, I usualy go to the Florida games, but for the life of me I can't recall last time we beat ya'll.

It dosen't matter anyway, Lou'll whip you guys in a big way come November!

If that happens, Zook will be on his way out.  Like I mentioned earlier, this is tupposed to be the year that his recruiting classes have matured enough to become a solid team and get back into the national title hunt.  If they fall flat again - look for Return of Spurrier rumors to heat up...

Hey Zod, I was at the Carolina-Florida game last year, pretty good game eh? Ya'll are going down this year!

Very good game.

I wish I could go this year but I moved to Dallas after graduating last year.  Odds of me getting to a Gators game (let alone that one) are slim to none.  I haven't seen their schedule yet but if they come near here I might try to make it.

It's make or break time for Zook.  He's done a great job recruiting and if he can't get the Gators back into the hunt this year - he's got no more excuses as to why.

It's also time to see what Chris Leak is made of.

Rather, it pegged one person as responsible for the break-up of one of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.

Guess who?

Say it ain't so?!

I got that same feeling watching the Poison and Motley Crue behind the music episodes, but denial kept me from accepting the truth.

Ridiculous is good.

Ridiculous is good.

But moderately large and matching reality is good too.

Is Emmitt Smith still the best active player?

 :D

No question about it.   I mean, he's got more rushing yards than anyone in history, that automatically makes him the best!   ;)

JD Sports Forum! / Re: Poker
« on: July 18, 2004, 01:34 AM »
Our local Access, The Education Station had the World Poker Tour on last night. First time I saw it listed in the tv guide so I set the VCR, I haven't watched it yet.

Does poker qualify as a sport?

This is one of my biggest peeves.  I like poker as much as the next guy (okay, maybe a little bit less than the next guy, but it is absolutely not a sport.

Quote
sport    ( P )  Pronunciation Key  (spôrt, sprt)
n.

1.  Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
2.  A particular form of this activity.
3.  An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively.
An active pastime; recreation.

Now you might be able to get into the lesser definitions of sport and get to a point where you can make an argument that it's a sport, but sports involve athleticism.  IMO.  It's a game, a mental challenge, a skill (reading opponents), but It's no sport.

Which is why this bothers me:

www.pokerinathens.org

They've got a petition to get poker into the Olympics.

Give me a freakin' break...  ::)

I found this online:

There are several ways. The easiest is to go ahead and fill in the desired areas with gray tone. Then, select Mode>Bitmap. In the pulldown menu, select "halftone screen." Select "round" for the shape, set the angle to 45 degrees, and set the line frequency to whatever you desire

Another easy way to do it would be to just get a zip-a-tone (or dotted) sheet that you like, scan it, then put it over whatever you want the dots on and just make it a multiply layer (or scroll through the blending options for the desired effect)....

OT or VOTC?

The hasbro guys I talked to last week left me with the impression that there would be all VOTC until episode III hit.  (and only a few at that...)
