The Prequel Trilogy / Re: The Return of a Bounty Hunter?

I heard that he's going to be playing a Jawa for most of the film, but is also being yoda's stunt double for a couple of scenes.

"Peter Mayhew, the dude in the furry suit, told a British journalist that the opening scene of the movie is a Wookiee battle sequence that takes place on a never-before-seen planet. More startlingly, Mayhew also said that Chewbacca acts as midwife to Natalie Portman's Padmé when she gives birth to twins Luke and Leia. We hope he washes his paws first."  Just conformation of that quote above.  It's from the force.net so I'm guessing it's reliable.

I heard peter Mayhew say that the film opened with a battle above Kashyk (spelt wrong I think?) to signal the end of the clone wars.  So maybe wookies in starfighters along side the Jedi.  Maybe Cheewie in a starfighter?  That would be pretty good if he makes it work.  I think we need Anakin being a great starpilot on the good side of the force for a bit, or at least to see it.

The Prequel Trilogy / Jedi dying in space!

This is an excert from Hyper Space "The new Jedi starfighter is designed with a removable cockpit. The oval-shaped module detaches from the frame of the ship to facilitate cockpit filming. It rests on a manually operated gimbal, providing some tilt and rocking motion for the ship. A light is mounted on a curving frame above it. The light slides along the curving track, providing a rotating light source to make it look like the cockpit spins from side to side.

This single cockpit will be used for all the Jedi starfighters seen in this film, including the vessels piloted by Anakin, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Plo Koon. Today, an ill-fated Jedi is getting blasted from the sky."

I'm guessing from this that Plo Koon dies in a space battle not a light sabre fight.  At first I wanted all the Jedi to go out with their lightsabres but a few Jedi going out in a really cool dog-fight would be brilliant.  But who's attacking them?  Droid fighters, a new alien race, Dooku or Anakin?  I'm getting excitted!!!

That's the worst script I've ever read...so I'm guessing it's real.

That's probably George's final draft.  You should have seen the ones before, they had this lizard-man with big ears who crashed into everything, in every scene and saved everyone.  This is really good compared to that   ;)

I didn't think that the headhunter had s-foils.  I thought it just had two locked wings which couldn't / didn't open.  maybe this ship will remove the headhunter out of the evoluion of the x-wing, it'll just become a cheap alternative to the x-wing.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Episode 3 running time...

I know you CAN fit everything into two hours, just like you can fit a love story into two scenes, but it dosen't work!  Especially when George is editing.  AOTC scenes: One moment they're eating dinner at a long table, it's day and their getting on; the next it's night, their clothes have changed and there's tension between them.  If that's the kind of compressed editing it's going to take to tell this story properly it's going to be a real waste, 30 mins extra is all I think it needs.

Let a boy dream Lando.  Do you think an adult rated star wars would ruin the magic or do you think it would add a little something to the fight scenes.

I guess it would loose something.

Obviously that didn't work so here's the web-address if you want to copy and paste it to see the Jedi fighter.

This is a picture of the Jedi ship toy, looks like an A-wing to me, but we don't see those till RotJ do we?  Maybe if the red bits of the ship were taken off and normal wings were put on it could be an x-wing, and he did say that only from a certain angle it looks like an OT ship.

your both probably right.  It's just I watched T3, which I found surprisingly good by-the-way, and just thought that when she tracked and gunned down those kids, without the camera really showing too much, was really cool.  It was dark, and gritty but not grotesque, and that film was only rated a 12 in England.

And we have to remember that this is the darkest of the films, even in a new hope, we see the burning skeletons of Owen and Beru.  Maybe, just maybe he'll show some padawans dying, to help set the mood of the piece.

"But this new starfighter. That's the one." If you thought the triangular shape of Obi-Wan's Jedi starfighter from Episode II was a harbinger of design sensibilities to come, wait until you see the new ship. From certain angles, it's unmistakably a precursor to an original trilogy vessel. And, bringing it all full circle, it incorporates features first seen in the toy version of the previous Jedi starfighter"

This is off Hyperspace today under the title toy box.  Maybe its a X-wing prototype or something, maybe the Republic/Empire will have Tie-fighter prototypes too.  Hopefully some clear dog-fighting will be seen.  Not literally dog fighting of course, that would be sick!

No pics as yet though, I don't have the jedi starfighter toy, anyone out there that can help me out, MisterPL you're our resident toy expert,  what's it got that the film one didn't?
