Other Toy Lines / Re: New Ninja Turtle figs.
« on: January 19, 2004, 11:53 AM »
This morning I stopped in at K-Mart to blow some time. They are resetting the toy area.

I picked up a new TMNT vehicle. It is called the Shell Sub. It is a small toy about the same size box the Razor Cycle, Sew Slider, Bike? come in. This is by far my favorite TMNT vehicle for the new line. This little sub is cool looking and has many features and parts to attach. It holds one figure.

I recomend this toy for any TMNT fan.

I doubled check with Cathy about the info she gave. I called her up last night and she swore to me that she was told that W.O.C. is marked down for the last weekend of April.
I asked her to please ask again to make sure, to find out the date, and find out what W.O.C means because she got me into trouble. Earlier this morning Cathy got to work a little early due to the icy roads she called me up and told me what she found out. She told me again that for the last week of April there is W.O.C. marked down. She also told me that it means Wishards Outfit of Christians or something like that. I forgot what the W stands for, I believe she told me Wishasrds. So the information she gave me is correct but at the same time wrong since it is for this April and not next April of 2005. She got the info for this April not the April of C3. I am sorry for passing on information that might of misled someone. I guess that is what happens when you get second hand info from someone you know.

I was reading your hotel posts.
About a year year and a half ago right behind the Convention Center on the next block a new hotel opened up. It is the Best Western. I stayed there for two nights when GenCon was in town. I paid something like $125.00 a night. SO that is another option for a place to stay. You can stay at the more fancy four or five  start hotels right across the street from the Convention Center but you will pay twice or maybe more a night.

I will double check with Cathy. She told me she was told W.O.C. is marked down for April.
I will let you know what she says again.

To make a reservation at one of the Major downtwon Hotels tell them it is for a businees trip and you need to make sure you have a room. They will put your name on a list and confirm it before you attend to stay. I know of several people in Indiana and one from Kentucky who did this and they said they have a room reserved.

Cathy who works at the Convention Center said she was told that W.O.C. is blocked in for that week. I take it W.O.C. = Wizards of the Coast?

Yeah, it is in Pounds. But when I e-mailed them they said it was American.
Better double check if you order with them.

I have one on the way thanks to a friend overseas. :)

Does anyone have a list of all the Star Wars POTF2 -> Present 12" dolls including the exclusives that were released with the approximate date (month/year) they came out?

Hasbro always has Reps at TRU, Wal-Mart, Target, where ever Hasbro toys are sold. They just check on the situations, stock, ect.

Well on the front page it seems that the Clonetrooper is now a figure for collectors to go and try to snag somehow since it does not look like it is going to be at a retail outlet. :(

I will have to ask some buddies overseas for some help.

Today I was at a Toys-R-Us and ran into a Hasbro Rep. I asked about the Silver Clonetrooper. She did not even know about the figure. That is not good news. I hope it comes out somewhere where people can get ahold of this figure with ease.

I only saw them at retail the week before Christmas. I am glad I picked up those figures when I did. I have not seen them since.

I already have over 100 CommTech Stormtroopers so I will pass on those. I do want to grab a C-3P0.

Not a Hall of Fame Assortment but at least it is a way for Hasbro to keep main characters out there for the kids.

Well according to many in Indy. The various hotels downtwon for this weekend of C3 are starting to fill up. I am not sure if this confirms C3 in Indy or not maybe there is another big event.

I will try to find out some info. I have a friend who works at the Convention Center. Maybe she can ask and confirm C3 for us.
