Other Toy Lines / Re: New Ninja Turtle figs.
« on: March 20, 2004, 01:13 PM »
I just got back from Toys-R-Us and found three new TMNT figures:
Toddler Turtles Pack – (Comes with all four Turtles) Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael

Foot Fire Mystic - Really cool Fire effect that attaches to Weapon

Turtle Titan - Mikey in his TT outfit.

On the back of the cards they show these figures:
Giant Mouser
Leatherhead
Quarry
Razorfist
Stonebitter

-Not sure if these are out yet or not. When I picked up the three today they were the last of each one.

Happy Hunting!

TURTLE POWER

UPDATE: The Evil Turtlebot is also in this wave.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The Classic Star Wars Test.

sluis-van (Classic Trilogy) = Emperor  Palpatine
sluis-van (E2) = Anakin Skywalker

emode =  The Classic Star Wars Test
David, you're Chewbacca

No disrespect to your hair stylist, but you have more in common with Chewbacca the loyal Wookie than you might think. Like "Chewey," you are a powerful force to be reckoned with. Whether you are playing pick-up sports with friends or interviewing for a job, your competitive nature is virtually unbeatable (and more than a little intimidating). But you have a definite gentle side too — a part of you that is more bark than bite and even longs for a cuddle or two.

When it comes to friends, it's quality not quantity. And you're usually the first one on the scene when someone needs a little rescuing (emotional or otherwise). You have a simple sense of right and wrong, and when someone crosses the line, you let them know. You're the ideal righthand man/woman — strong, stable, and ultimately incorruptible.

Wow out of the three tests I have to say they are fairly accurate.

Finally found Elom and Dutch at Wal-Mart. :)
Yeah when a store has the figures they sell out within hours.

So far I have been able to acquire General Dodonna, Captain Antillies, and Tie Pilot. Still no sign of Dutch or Elom.
I hope that these figures start to show up again. With the new Star Destroyer wave making it's way over I am starting to wonder.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: E-mail from Amazon.com
« on: March 17, 2004, 10:28 AM »
I have noticed something about this type of  e-mail that was sent recently.

ONLY those who are on the "Notify" list got this e-mail. The people like me who have the toy already pre-ordered in their cart did NOT get this e-mail.
I think it is a way for Amazon / TRU to lessen the frantic sales on the items. Think about it, if you have not already preordered the item in your cart and asked to be on the notify list about when the item comes in wouldn't you if you were Amazon / TRU e-mail those people saying the item will not come in? In their thinking I think they are hoping less people will frantically order the item.

I know when I look at my cart the items that in it (though currently said to be none available) are still listed in my cart with an expected shipping date.

Maybe I am just thinking about it to hard. That is my idea on the e-mail that people are getting. It is just a way to make people panic or to piss them off.
I would not worry about it too much. Those items will be on their site again.

I e-mailed the customer service last night and today I received a reply.

Dear Customer,
We understand your concern regarding priority on orders of limited quantity items such as the green trooper bust, vader cinemacast, etc.  We are attempting to come up with a solution that will allow those who purchased such items on March 10 to retain their priority.  We will update you on our progress shortly.

Sincerely,
Customer Service

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Creating General Grievous
« on: March 11, 2004, 10:05 PM »
It seems when anyone pushes something (movie, music, ect) it always turns out to be bad. For this case I hope that it is not true. I hope this character turns out to be really good. Of course he will most likely end up dead by the end of E3. As long as it is cool and not dumb, who cares.

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Hairy Chewbacca
« on: March 11, 2004, 09:58 PM »
So it looks like Chewie got his summer cut.  ;D

If this thing ever came out I would not know what to think. All that I can say is that the pack in should be a pair of swim trucks and sun glasses.

What will they think of next?

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Silver Sandtrooper coming?!?
« on: March 11, 2004, 09:54 PM »
Vader was great! The R2 I thought was a redemption for the Vader to the Fans. Boba Fett, well it was a lets see if we can do this one more time. Clone...now it is getting overdone.

At least the Sandtrooper is confirmed. I have heard a rumor earlier that the convention figure was just going to be the TRU Clone.

So I guess it will be one more figure that I will be adding to my collection.
Hopefully it will be the last silver fig.

Site Feedback, Suggestions, and Help / Can you limit profiles?
« on: March 11, 2004, 09:42 PM »
I have a question. Is it possible to limit the number of profiles a person can have on Jedi Defender? I ask this because I have seen lots of people here (or maybe it is just one person who is doing this) who just want to fly off on the handle about a topic, to someone, ect. They create a new profile just for that one remark which I find to be a waste.

I know when I was at another forum long ago that they limited your computer to two profiles no matter how many e-mails accounts that you may have. I think they tracked your CPU ID.

I think it is time that there be some cracking down on those people who abuse the forums just to say something with a new profile never to use it again.

I have always thought that if you want to say something then say it. Come on! Tell me what people are so afraid of? If someone has something to say then say it. Do not try to hide behind a false name in order to protect yourself.

One of my TRU stores just put out around six or so cases of this wave. I picked up a C-3P0 and R2-D2. I would of picked up a Stormtrooper but the lady told me when they put them out this afternoon one guy bought all the Stormtroopers.  >:( JERK! Leave some for other collectors.

« on: March 11, 2004, 05:50 PM »
Targets is Indy have marked down the 3-packs (Jedi / Geonosis) down to $9.99.

One store also did a small reset. They now have X12 pegs for Basic Star Wars figures, X4 pegs for Clone Wars, X2 tags for Mid Size Ships, X1 tag for Cups with figure, X1 tag for elec. Sabers, X4 pegs for Deluxe Figs.

I already missed one exclusive bust, I do not hope to miss another. AHH!!
This sucks is a bad way.

In the words of many "I have a BAD feeling about this"
