Great write up, makes me want to consider getting one of these guys if/when he can be found at retail.

I'm not sure I can make a list of top 10 wants for the 6" line that wouldn't include a lot of figures they will obviously get to. But I'll give it a shot, who knows one of these could win.  ;D

1.) Mara Jade (Emperor's Hand)
2.) Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight - Jabba's Palace)
3.) Corran Horn (Jedi Knight)
4.) Corran Horn (X-Wing Pilot - Green!)
5.) Wedge Antilles (X-Wing Pilot or Snowspeeder Pilot)
6.) Rebel Fleet Trooper (for JJ!)
7.) Grand Admiral Thrawn
8.) Han Solo (Bespin)
9.) Princess Leia (Hoth w/ second head for Bespin)
10.) Snowtrooper

Droid Factory 2013 / Re: 2013 Droid Factory = NOT Dead in 2015?

If anything, I think praising them at the $20 price is kind of like saying, "I accept $20 for repaints/repacks as a great idea!", which seems like a bad stance to take.

JJ, that's the biggest issue I see with this, as well as the overall increase in prices for figures. An acceptance of high prices for low quality or things we have seen before. People ******** themselves over these  figures is nuts, why would anyone want to pay $20 for yet another clone repaint or flaky battle droid?

Oofah Jason, that's some steep pricing on some ultimately crummy stuff.  If Hasbro bumps pricing on 5 POA to now articulated pricing, I'd imagine that's not going to go over well at the checkout line for them.

I don't buy the 5 POA much at this point, but I wouldn't buy it at all at those prices.  The quality just isn't there for it.

It's barely there on the articulated stuff most of the time, to justify a purchase.

Yeah JJ, it's just plain sick. I'm only after the crew of the Ghost for the 5 POA line since I figure Hasbro will likely never be doing them in TBS movie style, unfortunately this particular TRU seems to be the only place around me getting new stuff so it's a kick in the pants. Thankfully, I only need the Sabine 2 pack now and I can call it quits on this stuff. Between crazy prices, poor figure designs, and horrible distribution issues, the fun of collecting sure is being sapped outta me. Thankfully there's still vintage.  ;D

The TRU in Schaumburg, IL has raised the price on Saga Legends and Mission Series to $9.99 & $11.99 respectively. SL now is the same price as TBS, that's obscene!

This is likely an isolated incident, the store is in a huge shopping district near some wealthier towns. But it's insane nonetheless.

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Re: Black Series Rumors

$12.99 confirmed in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago. Testing or not, Target is going to wind up pricing many people of buying from their stores.

Now that's a deal!  Congrats Man!

Thanks JJ! It's a fun set. How you been, ping me sometime.

Greg - both stores in was at today had the same sale. I'd venture the other stores in the asrea are the same.

Found the Biker Scout w/ Speeder Bike set at Target today. They're having a BOGO 40% off sale on all toys this week, so was able to get 2 of these for $32 + tax each. Takes a bit of work to get the Scout on the bike properly, but once he's on it makes for a great display. Check the JD Facebook page for a photo ;)

Just finished up a great transaction with Darby. It was a pleasure working with him, quick on the communications and his part of the deal. Can't go wrong with this guy.

Thanks Darby!

I noticed the poster showed they are making a Rebels animated Obi-Wan. Could this mean a story arc could take place on Tatooine? Could we perhaps see a young Luke on the show?? That to me adds excitement to the upcoming debut of the cartoon

Star Wars Universe / Re: Disney to Purge Select EU
« on: April 25, 2014, 05:23 PM »
I don't see this necessarily being a bad thing. For those of us who like the idea of parallel universes, we can just consider the Post-ROTJ EU to be just that. It can live in harmony alongside what the sequels bring, similar to how the Star Trek reboot have done for TOS.

In terms of stories being ignored, they've already gone through this I believe with the Marvel comics. After the resurgence of Star Wars in media began in the 90s, I believe there were no references to Marvel material up until the Legacy of the Force anthology began. That essentially to me was ignoring what had come before, so it isn't necessarily new ground we're treading here.

At the same time it also makes sense and I'm wondering if they will do the same for the EU between ANH & ROTJ. I've always thought the EU between ANH & ESB was very messy as there's far too many stories and events taking place for the core heroes than could occur in that 3 year period. Between the Marvel comics series, the newspaper strips, the various Dark Horse lines, and novels, a lot seemed to take place in those 3 years and none of it really lined up together. So perhaps we'll get a clean slate there as well or since Disney owns Marvel, the 77-86 comic series will be considered the official story.
