Welp, looks like no OOT this Fall.

The Star Wars Saga to Be Enshrined in Limited Edition Blu-Ray Steelbooks

Quote
the first six will be released as commemorative Blu-ray steelbooks for a limited time on November 10, with pre-orders beginning on August 7. Each film comes with beautiful new character packaging that include Darth Maul for The Phantom Menace, Yoda for Attack of the Clones, General Grievous for Revenge of the Sith, Darth Vader for A New Hope, an Imperial stormtrooper for The Empire Strikes Back, and Emperor Palpatine for Return of the Jedi. Star Wars: The Complete Saga will also be released in newly-repackaged artwork on October 13.

In addition to the collectible steelbook packaging, each Blu-ray disc features existing audio commentary with George Lucas and the film crew as well as audio commentary from archival interviews with the cast and crew.

The Complete Saga includes all six feature films on Blu-ray, along with three additional discs containing more than 40 hours of previously-released extensive special features.

Maybe I should change it back to Bill Cosby?

So it's going to be like the X-Box 360 with backwards compatibility.  A few games at first as a test (glad to see Mass Effect in there) and they will add games over time.  Eventually, pretty much every game will be playable.

No, it'll be a lot better than it was on the 360. On the 360 it was done on a game-by-game basis and was a giant pain in the ass for everyone involved (MS/developers/publishers), resulting in glitchy games and a spotty library.

This time, MS has just emulated the entire 360 OS on the One, so the bulk of the work is already done. All they'll really need now from publishers is approval, so most games will be able to carry over no problem. The only ones that definitely won't carry over are games that require Kinect or other hardware, like Rock Band.

Speaking of Mass Effect, it actually runs better on the One than it did on the 360.

‘Star Wars: Rogue One': Forest Whitaker Joins Standalone Film

Awesome.

Exclusive: Star Wars: Rogue One details on theme, locations, aliens, & more

Quote
• Stormtroopers have same armor as they do in the original films (i.e. episodes IV - VI)

• Lots of alien life forms, Mon Calamari among them

• New droids and aliens will be introduced. Kind of a no-brainer, but just so you know it's not just a bunch of rebels

• At-Ats, X-Wings, Y-wings, At-Sts are said to be present.

• Implied that some of the film will take place on Yavin-4; a lot of armies in the jungle and various battlefield locations

• Looks like a new droid will be part of the band of rebels attempting to steal the Death Star plans

• Felicity Jones is seen dressed as a rebel soldier ready for battle; expect her to get her hands dirty in this one

Still not sure how I feel about the idea of standalone films but this one sounds pretty good so far. Looking forward to seeing what a Star Wars movie without all the Jedi/Sith stuff is like.

Anyone still playing this? I just got it the other day and holy jeez I'm so behind the eight ball in missing out on all the rare inserts and whatnot. Cool game though, and it's nice to have a new casual Star Wars game to play on the phone again after Tiny Death Star took a dump.

Username is MATTYBIRCHALL if anyone wants to friend me or trade cards or whatever.
