Metroid: Zero Mission (should have) shipped today from Nintendo--look for it in stores tomorrow or Wednesday if you're interested.

I know Target's got it advertised for $25.xx this week, and Best Buy's got it for $24.xx--the lowest price that I know of so far.

Should be cool--I think IGN gave it a 9/10.

Anyone up for Love for the High School Reunion Collection?  This is the three-pack with Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, and The Breakfast Club.

Link to Amazon

They've got it for $29.99--which would be around $27 after the STL 10% discount.

I need to order it by Thursday at the very latest, so lemme know with an e-mail here if you're interested. . .

Oh yeah, now you're talkin'!  Shania's a big time favorite around here!   8)  Even if Virex is a little sick and tired of her...   ::)

Please, please, please, don't rolleyes me in front of the kids--that'll only encourage them.

And no, I don't have much of a problem with Shania.  She is one beautiful lady, who I will admit to spanking the monkey to on more than one occasion.

That said, if this thread were only allotted twenty pictures of hotties, for example, I'd rather have one picture of Shania, and nineteen pictures of nineteen other hotties, rather than twenty pictures of Shania.

All about variety.

Yeah, your Love came through just fine, actually.  Matt's didn't (obviously), and the guy from DVD Talk (that I don't know) that I shared Love with on American Splendor apparently received the Love just fine, as he posted a "thank-you" reply for it, but I have yet to get the Love back for that.  Who knows.

So, for now, the only STL credits that I've ever received back have both been from you, for Curb and Translation.

That says something.

Forgot to post this yesterday, but here it is:

Our hero, W. Axl Rose turned 42 yesterday.

I don't know what's more sad:  The fact that Axl is two years over the hill, or the fact that a 28-year-old man knows what Axl Rose's birthday is.

"You make the call."

Alright, after finally getting around to seeing Lost in Translation, I have a new crush:

Yes, Bill Murray, ladies and gentlemen.

 :-\

No, Scarlett Johansson, everybody.  The karaoke scene, with her wearing the pink wig and singing the Pretenders song, is what hooked me--unfortunately, I couldn't find a pic of just her in that pink wig.  Not quite a "fine ass hottie", but still, wow.

Sadly, Ghostbusters 2, actually, is what ruined my crush on Bill.

I'm a big Artoo fan, and this time, I was excited about seeing this new figure--which looks like it could very well be the best Artoo to date--unless, of course, the integrity of the dome and legs is compromised.   :D

(This one, in terms of scale and detail, kicks the crap out of the 1999 Holo Leia Artoo, which a lot of people think is the best Artoo out there.  In terms of articulation, it is, but it's vastly undersized, and the dome is awful.)

Sorry to bump an old thread here, guys, but I just wanted to say that I finally found the new Artoo (and Luke) yesterday (and R1-G4 a few days before), and after opening up the Artoo, it is most definitely the finest Artoo ever done in the 3 3/4" scale.

Not even really talking about the bartending equipment (which I don't care for too much), but just as a clean, basic Artoo-Detoo figure, it rocks.  Great dome (with the only imperfection being the tiny pinhole in the top for the drink mixer), great paint job, no odd-looking "light-up eye port", and finally, an Artoo figure with the prototypical astromech body and legs that we first saw with the R2-Q5 figure three years ago.  Great looks, great functionality.  Pretty much the ultimate Artoo figure that looks great for display, no matter which movie diorama you put him in.

(And yes, it absolutely kicks the crap out of the Holo Leia Artoo from 1999--mostly in terms of looks and size.  The functionality/articulation is pretty much the same, but that Holo Artoo is waaaay off.  I think the people that think it's so great are probably people that have left it carded, and haven't opened it up to play with it/compare it to some of the other Artoo figures. . .)

Anyway, as a big Artoo fan, I'm very impressed with this new one.  Will I still buy any other new Artoo they come out with?  Sure, because like I said, I'm a big fan, but this is fantastic (nevermind that they should have done it two or three years ago).

And yeah, like Jesse mentioned, I'd still like to see an Artoo like this sometime, that's all done up with all of the attachments (like the sensorscope and the tools, etc.--like the one from 1998) but even then, it wouldn't look as clean as this one does.

Why should I ask her?  You're the one who down-graded her hot-itude.

By the way, fresh hottie, just found on Google:

I'm having trouble understanding how Cate Blanchette can be down-graded from "fine ass hottie" to just "hottie" in a matter of minutes.

She will not like this little turn of events. . .

Yeah, I screwed the pooch.   :-\  There's a link to click to become eligible to receive STL e-mail notifications and credit, so I clicked it, and NOW I'm eligible.  Apparently I wasn't before...  I don't know WTF is going on...   :P

How 'bout I just send you a buck fi'ty, and we call it even?

No, no need for that, man.  No big deal.

We'll just have to try it out again when they release the next Rain Man: Super-sized Special "Hot Water Burn Baby" Edition in 2008.

I still love you, Matt.

I know that one of Cate Blanchette's ultimate goals in life was to be called a "fine ass hottie" by a guy named Mainland05 on a Star Wars message board.

Congratulations Cate, goal achieved, I will let her know.

I forsee action against that picture of Miss Jacksons lovley breast.

Yeah, but does anyone here find that image, that moment even remotely sexy?

I mean, I think Janet (Miss Jackson, if you nasty) is an incredibly attractive lady, but there's something about that entire publicity stunt that just turns me off.

Let me just say this, I haven't used it for "material" at all, if you know what I mean. . .

Oh, and maybe School of Rock, too, on March 2nd.  I don't know.

Still no Love yet.
