I hate to be too obvious, but I didn't just post that video to show a couple of sad Cowboys to everybody.

No, that video deserves a closer look. . .   :)

Weird that this was bumped--I had a dream last night that involved an old girlfriend singing "Sweet Child O' Mine", for some reason.  I have no idea why.  Maybe it was a way of letting me know that this thread was going to be bumped.   :o

And, Axl, how about you finish your album before you do any more touring, huh?

What a ******* moron.

You know, I'm glad this thread was updated, because a couple of months ago, I had a chance to try out a Segway for a little bit, and I didn't fall off a once.

I'm giving serious consideration to throwing my hat in the ring for next year's presidential race.

And, there's plenty of "bubblegum pop" on the list, too--look at who the most-represented artist is, for one. . .

Thriller is on there because it's a damn good album, all Michael Jackson jokes aside.

I haven't heard any of Britney's or NSYNC's albums all the way through, but I would bet that yes, while they had a few hit songs--they probably weren't albums where every song was good, or at least decent, like Thriller.

Sales shouldn't factor at all into these types of lists, ever.  That's what Billboard is for.

Onee of my buddys pointed out too that sales should be a factor in where these albums landed...a mark of their greatness should be how much the general public agrees and buys said music

Bull honky--if that were the case, then Britney Spears and NSYNC would be the greatest performers of the past five years, and a list of the greatest films of all time would include Home Alone, Titanic, and Phantom Menace.

Sales should never factor into whether something is "good" or not--they only determine what is most popular.  "Good" and "popular" are rarely the same thing.

There is a Namco Comp for PS2 that I have that has Galaga, Dig Dug, Pac Man, Ms Pac Man and Pole Positions 1 and 2...good stuff on that

Yeah, the Namco Museum.  I've got that too.  What they need to is to take all of the different comps they made for the PSX, and put that all on one disc.  They released five discs here in the U.S. (and I think one more in Japan), all with five or six different classic games on them.  So that's still around 30 or so games that we need on a new package--including all of the Pac-family games like Super Pac Man, Pac-Land, Pac-Man Jr., etc.

I also have some Atari ones (for PS1) that must be in the miles of posts above that I sort of skimmed through

Yeah, this is a pretty long thread, huh?  Do you think I should take that list of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums I made, and post it here?   ???

Oh--just noticed, on that Intellivision Lives comp, that the XBox version doesn't come out until the middle of January, while the PS2 version is available now, according to EB Games.

So, my apologies to you guys, for the hundreds thousands of Christmas wishes I might have dashed out there.

Yeah, I was wondering how long it would be before someone mentioned all of the Namco compilations.  It seems that they're a lot like Nintendo, in that they don't really want to have anything to do with releasing any classic comps on PC at all.  (That's where MAME--mentioned earlier by jokabofe--comes in handy.)

Galaga, Ms. Pac Man, and the original Star Wars game are my favorite video games of all-time.  They'll never get old or boring to me, ever.

And they're just as good and fun-to-play as these newfangled, high-falutin' games that all the youngsters are playing nowadays!

Flibbety-floo!   >:(

Funny, was just diving into the thread to post this very thing. Ordered Alien Quad from DDD too, its the best price BY FAR, if you use the coupons. It was 74.99 at Target this afternoon.

You know, I heard that Costco stores are selling the Quadrilogy for $61.99 this week.  I don't have them here, but that's a pretty good deal for a B & M store, and worthy of checking out if you're interested in the Quad and have Costcos in your area.

Re: Pirates - Target is cheapest, but they put their DAMN stickers on the back of the package, and this disc has an unshrinkwrapped cardboard outer sleave. So, the Target stickers are stuck onto it. Those that are anal about package presentation might want to hit BB or CC instead and pay the extra buck for a good case.

You know, that's the one thing I don't like about those cardboard sleeves that Disney puts on a few of their DVDs--they can get trashed by price stickers, security tags, etc.  Other than that, they're really nice-looking, in my opinion. . .
