Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Disney want to buy Hasbro?

Any company would be interested in those properties!  While I would admit that the GI Joe brand is not being handled really well, MLP is doing well I think, and TF had 3 hugely successful films, (even if I think they blow) with a fourth in the works.  These are marquee brands.

I don't think I was exactly clear...  What I meant was the Merle character would clearly want to kill T-Dog and Rick for what they did to him.  In a society where Terry Bradshaw gets in trouble for mentioning fried chicken, I'd imagine that someone would be "offended" that a "racist" character (even if he's not racist anymore) killed a black man.  If Merle had come back to the fold and NOT wanted to kill T-Dog, and not even for just purely racial reasons, then that would be silly.

I've been grabbing a bunch of Imaginext stuff for my 2YO.  He has a few Superhero items, but he LOVES the airplanes.  These are some pretty cool toys, and the pilots from the planes remind me of M.A.S.K. figures with their accessories.

Didn't see the episode on Sunday, and TWD's Facebook totally spoiled the ending.  Grrr!

This was such a fantastic hour of TV.  If Andrew Lincoln is not at least in the Emmy discussion...

I was sad, but not shocked to see T-Dawg come to an end.  As edgy as this show is, I don't think even they would want to veer into what a racist (Merle) would do to an African American, and it is inevitable that the prison crew collides with the Woodbury crew soon.  It would either come off disingenuous and out of character, or they would have surely made some headlines.

Went to see Wreck It Ralph this weekend.  I really liked it.  Way too many VG references to absorb in one viewing.  Lots of fun!

Do you think there will be any mention of Vader anywhere in the new movie?

Not Vader - but Anakin - why else would Lucas change the force ghost of Anakin to Hayden Christensen if not so Anakin's ghost could show up as an adviser to Elder Luke Skywalker.

Ooh...  That sounds pretty cool.

Ugh.  I hope not.  I imagine that while recognized, there won't be much reference to CW in the new films.  I am sure there would be plenty of viewers going "Who the hell is that?" if Ashoka were unfrozen in VII.

How would someone steal a box this size?  Morons.

It looks like Galadriel is chucking the bird.

Honestly, this thing would be a waste of a free code from Redbox.  Simply horrendous.

I saw the wheelbarrow.  I had a few figs in hand for my son, but the line was insane.  I'll go back today to see if it is any better.

I did happen to get the new Sandie and a Bespin Leia from TRU during their sale.

The way the rumor mill is really gearing up has me jazzed for Star Wars in a way since I haven't been since TPM came out.  Better yet is the final destination of this story is not determined, unlike the PT.

I think Joe Johnston is an ideal pick.  He's proven himself on a big-budget blockbuster, he has proven that he can work with an FX heavy movie, and he has history with the franchise.

Edit: another thought going off of the 20th Century Fox fanfare. I doubt John Williams would score the next trilogy, since he's got to be 80ish by now.
Ugh!  Perish the thought!  I can't imagine a SW movie without him scoring it.  Madness!

On a seperate note... Just throwing this out there to spark some discussion...  With Hasbro producing toys for two of Disney's huge properties, do you think the Mouse House would ever look at buying a toy company to pull under their umbrella?  Who makes the Pixar toys now?

I'm all for clean slates.  Be honest.  Aside from a few moments, has this show really impressed you?

I agree with the sentiment that there needs to be more wars in the stars in Star Wars.

I wouldn't count on unaltered versions of the OT anytime soon.  In one of the articles about this whole thing was info on distribution rights.  Fox has all distro rights until 2020 and they have rights for ANH "in perpetuity."  So unless Disney and Fox reach some type of deal, it could be a long wait, or never, that we get to see any type of Saga release out of Disney.

There is no way Disney would have made this purchase unless there were already some agreement worked out for home video releases.  Remember, none of the films leading up to and including the Avengers were distributed by Disney.
