I agree, Bill.  They also run the risk of overly bloating the plot with too many characters/details.  We nerds LOVE stuff like that but the average movie-goer gets annoyed and gives up (see The Hobbit).  Sooner or later the whole thing will collapse on the weight of its own complexity.

Someone cleaned this WalMart out.  In fact, they had a TON of UltimateFX sabers marked down to $15.  I let my son pick one out (he picked red).  I went back to grab a Luke and an Anakin for him so he'd have all three colors, and they had one Luke saber left and two Anakins.  They blew through these.

I'll bet that the new show is centered around Darryl Dixon.  He's not a comic creation, and the fans (especially the women) LOVE him.  In fact, I saw a cool "Team Darryl" sticker on a car (complete with crossbow).

I can't believe no one has posted an R-rated picture of figures posed here yet.

This store was in Lisbon, CT.  I'm going there today and I'll see what's left.

Today I saw Kwinn, Duke and Flint from this wave.  Left them for someone else.

My son is scared of these huge figures.  I have put Supes, Bats and now Vader in the shopping cart with him and he tries to trow them out of the cart.  LOL.

Looks like my Wally put the new wave directly to clearance.  I grabbed the awesome new Storm Shadow, Snake-Eyes V2 and the incredible Cobra Commander for $3 each!  Left Firefly behind, and Crimson Guard rang in at $10.

They can do anything their parents wallets allow.  The price is right.  Its all always available.  It's diverse.
Plus every set can "add on" to a previous set.  Compatibility is never, ever an issue.  There is so much more upside for Lego, it is ridiculous.

You can get a Chinese knockoff that plays NES and SNES games in the same unit for around $50 or so.

...good for anything left over from our bridal registry (yes, I put one on there).

Of course you did.  You simply misunderstood your fiancée when she said she wanted to play games in the bedroom.  (or that's what you tell everyone else) ;)
That is what she meant?  Huh.  We have just been taking turns playing single-player games.

I bought a new car about 2 weeks after I got an iPhone5.  The dealer exitedly handed me this box that hjad a cord that was made to fit the USB and minijack connectors in the console.  The other end of the cord had a 30-pin adapter.  :(

I use this cord with a Lightning to 30-Pin adapter and it seems to work OK.

Um.  No.  As long as ST V, IX and X exist, it will be hard to rise to the level of "worst."

I got a spiffy new 3DS XL in the new sexy black finish at Target last night.  On sale for $175, I got an additional 10% by using a coupon good for anything left over from our bridal registry (yes, I put one on there).  Paid with gift cards, total cost, $0.  :)

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series - 2013 Wave 1
« on: August 15, 2013, 08:47 AM »
Saw these last night.   Walked around Target with a Sandy in my hand but eventually put it back.  $20 and a slippery slope.  If they were $15, I'd be all in.
