I also didn't see "Wolf" with Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer and James Spader. Horrible movie! I actually walked out of it and demanded my money back. They just gave me a voucher to see another movie. UGH!

Worst movie EVER. (Unless you count "Mannequin").

"Party Monster" starred Seth Green, Macauly Culkin, Marilyn Manson, and Dylan McDermott. It was an independent film, but quite successful.

I love clubs, but I ask you: does this not SCREAM suckiness?

I'm assuming "Party Monster" wasn't on that list because no one saw it. Do yourselves a favor: never rent "Party Monster." It sucked balls.

The only upside to having a root canal is the amount of Vicodin they prescribe for you. Ahhhh, the greatness of vicodin..!

The Pixies are going to be in Austin on 9/18 for the ACL Music Festival, and their only other Texas dates are in October:  in Houston on 10/17, and in Grand Prairie on 10/19.

Pollstar

(Might have to hit that Grand Prairie show myself. . .)

And that Curiosa tour hits Dallas on 8/14--just about ten days before the Lollapalooza tour.

Cure/Curiosa info

We have great seats for the Pixies show (I thought it was in Sept-my bad). None of those others have gone on sale yet. Lollapalooza was scheduled the 13 & 14 here. Did that site confuse Lollapalooza and Curiosa, or do they have a clusterEFF on their hands?

Just last week they had Lollapalooza on the 13-14. Hmmmm...

Force Guy brought up a good point about which creatures are scary. When my son was 4, we went and saw AOTC in the theater. He was good until the arena battle. The beasts that were attacking the jedi and Amidala made him crawl up into my lap and tell me he was scared. He saw it again before he turned 5, though, and they didn't bother him. Of course, then it was on video.

I saw it. I don't think it really hit you from the point of view that the lawsuits were justified, just that the food is unhealthy. No one should eat fast food every day, most people know that. I think it partly answered the question of why obesity is more and more common.

I don't eat fast food (other than the occasional pizza, but I order ours from an Italian restaurant instead of Domino's or Pizza Hut or whatever). So, this film didn't really change my habits about eating, but I used to drink Coca-Cola fairly frequently. I may not ever drink a Coke again. I knew there was a ton of sugar in Cokes, but I had no idea. You couldn't eat that many teaspoons of sugar at one time if you sat down with a bag of sugar and a scoop. And that's just in the small size.

I thought the humor was sort of dark and funny, too. Good flick. It at least offers up information alot of people wouldn't have had unless they actively sought it.

Coming this August/Sept: The Cure, Morrissey, the Pixies, and Siouxsie and the Banshees. What a great time to be alive!

I let my kid watch it when he was 4. He loves it and is actually watching the Special Edition of E. IV at this very moment and begging me to duel him with lightsabers. He's 6 now.

I like this forum's layout alot. Yeah, the search feature isn't very stellar. But considering all the problems Scum is having...

I can't stand it. The W&P thread is freaking useless now, and I don't like the little add-ons. It has an ignore feature that doesn't work, and a laundry list too numerous to take the effort and post.

I posted that I'll give  them a week to work out the bugs before I start posting over there again (not that I'm sure they give a flying phuck). It IS difficult so go through such a massive change like that and NOT have problems.

A friend of mine owns a local board here in Dallas, and his upgrade was a nightmare. I had to help with it, and it was headache after headache. We lost 3 days of posts, which pissed everybody off, too.

So, I feel their pain. Upgrading board software is a hard earned way

If the Mavs lose tonight, Nellie can pack his bags. It also may see the end of the big 3: Nash, Finley, and Dirk.

So that's why I think the Mavs might win 1 more game. I know I'm "flip-flopping" on the Mavs, but I'm going to say again that the Kings will take it in 6 if they don't win tonight.

Also, I'm thinking if the Mavs can win tonight, the series comes back here for game 6. I still have to hope the Mavs can pull off 1 more win at home before it's all over. Of course, I'm probably doing the homer fanboy dream, but here's to hope, right?

And believe me, after making it to the Western Conference Finals last year and falling 1 game short, if they go out in the first round like it looks like they will, heads will roll. First head on the chopping block is Don Nelson. The next one will be Steve Nash. Cuban loves Finley, and even though Finley has stunk it up this round (like Nash), he's a Cuban fave. He's safe. Dirk is safe, too.

But no...the Mavs played one of the worst games I have ever seen them play last night (and I saw them when they were 15-67). They were weak in every aspect of the game.

I'll have to amend my prediction: Kings in 5, not 6.

So the Cowboys trade out of the first round this year for Buffalo's first round pick next year. We took Julius Jones (Notre Dame RB) and two offensive linemen who both played for national champions. I'm not thrilled with Jones, but Parcells really likes the guy and he knows oceans of more football than I do. Trust in Bill.

As I watched the Mavs-Kings game Saturday, I thought to myself that no way were these the same two teams that played the first 2 games of the series. Is "home court" really that much of an advantage? The Mavs were up by 30 points in the 3rd and part of the 4th quarter.
