T.O. is out for the year. He broke a bone in his ankle. They'll try and bring him back for the Super Bowl...IF they make it. Looks like a 4th straight year of Philly ALMOST going to the promised land...heh heh.

I'm fond of Adobe, Macromedia, Propellerhead, and Steinberg software products.

Just movies? For books, I would add both Thomas Covenant trilogies.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy (McFarlane) if you asked me. He tried to rip off Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore, and lost. Sounds to me like Toddy should learn to keep his effing ego in check because he is getting spanked in the courts.

The rest of the NFC playoff teams should thank Dallas for knocking T.O. out for a month. Our defense played its best 3 quarters in about a year yesterday. Too little too late, but hey...we removed T.O. for the foreseeable future.

I have that same Mac monitor here at work where I view this forum. I used to browse at my home office, but I needed a more high paying job. So, now I really have to work for a living.

Bill Hicks was a genius.  Also:

Steven Wright, Lenny Bruce, Redd Foxx, Chris Rock, Greg Proops, Rita Rudner, Richard Pryor, Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Robin Williams, Bobcat Goldthwait.

Any of you guys catch that "Last Comic Standing" reality TV show over the summer? The reality TV competition was lame, but some of the comics were funny as hell.

Fantastic Four Video footage.

WB is ruining one of the greatest comic books in turning it into celluloid:

CONSTANTINE

Turn a British mage into a California surfer ghostbuster dude, change his cabdriving 40ish best friend into a pre-teen and turn a horror comic into an action flick, Buffy the Vampire SLayer ripoff, and here's what you get... >:(

My first album was Quiet Riots, Come Feel the Noise.  At least, I think that was the title, it's been so long ago.

It was entitled "Metal Health".

Sorry, didn't see this thread when I posted mine. Please delete the thread I started as this one clearly existed first.

Vinnie Paul was shot, too, but he'll be OK. Darrell was cool as hell. I've partied over at his house in N. Arlington before (they are from the Dallas area; Darrell had a pool in the shape of a Crown Royal bottle with a hottub where the cap should be). He never acted like a "rockstar" and was always cool about helping younger bands get started. He would meet so many people that he called everybody "dude", even people he was close to, even his girlfriend.

RIP Darrell

Check out WE3 by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. It's freaking awesome.

Here, I ran across this while looking for more info:

In reference to the recent article entitled "Mother of the Matrix Victorious," some information has been deemed misleading. Ms. Sophia Stewart has not yet won her case against Joel Silver, Time Warner and the Wachowski Bros. The decision on October 4th enabled Ms. Stewart to proceed with her case, as all attempts to have it dismissed were unsuccessful. Ms. Stewart's case will proceed through the Central District Court of California.
