The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Clone Wars Rumor/Speculation Thread
« on: February 11, 2008, 12:51 AM »

I hope they work in the Separatist Commandos into the Clone Wars. I really think they would make some really cool looking figures. Plus the Republic Commandos need some competition. Their story was cool to with the heavy looses from the Republic Commandos the Separatist form them to combat this problem.

The Gossam Commando and Koorivar Fusilier would be a welcome addition too.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Anakin's Clone Wars Jedi Starfighter

Whenever I think of Anakin's Clone Wars Starfighter, I think of this monstrosity::)

I'd rather see Hasbro take a stab at that LEGO one than re-releasre this crazy ship again...

I dunno - I liked that design. It made sense in terms of modifications to an existing Delta-7 that you could see Anakin actually making.

I too, like the CW version of Anakin's fighter. If you look at the Lego one you can even see some similarities between them. Maybe it's a before version even.

Shaak Ti and Luminara looked too much like nuns to me. Instead of a ruler coming at you to swat your hands, they've got lightsabers...

Well, the Jedi Order is like a convent in the sense that they are forbidden to have relations and have lives filled of study and practice all the time :P.

I don't really see many Jedi running around in that type of clothes ether. I would think yes, they are able to practice some of the customs of their people, but would still need to follow a code of conduct and rules when it comes to most things. Take the Police for example: they all are similar in appearance, but they are able to keep a piece of who they are in how they wear their hair and stuff like that. Also you can spot an Officer no matter where you are, because of this. Jedi being the guardians of the galaxy, wouldn’t that hold true for them too?

Fritz,
Really dig the Mon Cal. That bbi body really works for this guy.

I have one question though if I may, where did you get that cool helmet? Did you add anything other than the range finder?

Thanks for sharing.

They should have really axed this set. Only thing worth anything is the Wampa and that is not saying much. It saves me money, so I can't complant too much ;D.

Great...more "shadow" troopers...

You know, Hasbro should apply the "shadow" concept with other types of troopers, only in reverse.  For instance, instead of "shadow" Death Star Troopers (which wouldn't work 'cuz they're already black), Hasbro should make "sunshine" Death Star Troopers: DST's painted white.  This idea would work with Death Star Gunners, TIE-Pilots, etc.  And believe me, they would sell.....

I like that idea, and I would buy many of them ::). What will Hasblow not do, I wonder?

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 2008 Order 66 packs?
« on: January 17, 2008, 10:57 AM »
Are they still $10 a pack?  Just asking.

I like them all and curse this frigid country for not having Target stores.  I'll get them though.  Least keen on Sev and Luminara though.

I am sure we can get your back on these if you need help. When they hit just ask. As far as the DCPI numbers show thus far they are $10. Subject to possible change.......

Did I miss something? Have the DCPI numbers been posted somewhere? I don't remember seeing them in this thread. Thanks

That Anakin is cool looking and Sev could use the water treatment, but overall I'm liking these 6 sets more than the first wave. Only figure that looks to be lacking is the Obi-Wan, which is above par for Hasbro. Now all that is left is the price point. If they're still $10, I'm in for many. If they bump up the price then my limit is 2 of each (except Obi-Wan pack).

I wounder how articulate Tsui Choi is? Great looking figure. These will not hang around. I wonder if we'll see him carded down the road too. I hope when these sets hit they will still be the $10 price range and not the jacked up price Target has been doing on there exclusives lately. If there are I could see myself picking up a few of each.

Sev's head looks to be new a head, even if it's sculpted on the old POTF2 Weequay. I'm not to keen on the color of him, but the Kit body is cool. With that head you could make some better Skiff Guard to boot.

The Obi-Wan is a give, as I didn't think Hasbro would include a good version of him. We can only hope that those pictures are test shots and not what we will see. Looks to my like an old Saga version maybe the Coruscant chase kit bash of some sort :'(.

I really hope Hasbro offers the Battlefront II gun in that pack. Now all they need to do is repack or bring out the Clone Engineer, Heavy Trooper's Rocket Launcher, and Jet Trooper's EMP launcher and Jet pack out in some other forms, just like this and I'll be happy. I don't really want to buy the Battlefront sets do to all the crappy stuff in them just for a few new or cool items.

If the Kamas are different, that is cool. Now they need to bring on the Jedi for these packs. I really want to see something new.

I didn't really think that one was worth $20 either.  :-\  At least it came with two "new" figures and was the first of its kind.  I wonder if the two troops will be identical?  If so, maybe I can live with just getting one loose and splitting the pack with someone.  ;)

I'm right there with you on this one. They Scout Troopers look cool, but the Speederbikes are a major bust. If you are looking for some one to go in halves, let me know ;).

I think the best of these two is the Mygeeto set, just wish I could see if Bacara as the articluation we all want on him. If it's just legs than it isn't much of an improvement. That would only fix part of the problem. His arms need the fix too.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Target TFU Battle Rancor
« on: January 4, 2008, 01:42 AM »
Rancors also showed up on Rakata in the Knights Of The Old Republic game.  However I don't think they were indigenous to that planet either.

I remember that, but I always thought they might have been on a ship that crashed. Maybe something like Jesse said as they are domesticated and used for various purposes, so they could have been rounded up for transport to another world. Kind of like the Mustang to North American, as they were left here with Native Americans domesticating and used them.

That is one really cool looking alien. I could see them being more of a nomad type people, in very small numbers. That would explane why Felucia looks uninhabited. Acklay, as the Star Wars Databank states it hails from the planet Vendaxa, but if they were on Felucia (like in Battle Front) they would detour large type settlements. Maybe there is some other type creature that is just as bad, I don't know. Finding that out though I would have to rethink my last post with them riding a Acklay as they are not native to Felucia.

This one would rock, as if you look at the unit on the bike, it's the Snowtrooper backpack. Do as said above with the new tool Scout backpack with hoses that connect to a Snowtrooper backpack that fits onto the; and here is the deal maker or breaker the Saga version of the Speederbike. That is about the best version they have even know it's still too big and the steering vains are all wronge, but it has the better control arms and looks much cooler than the POTF2 version. That is if they are going the cheap route.

As others have said though it would be awesome for a new tool Speederbike, as they are my favorite, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
