Just came back from a local comic shop, and much to my surprise my Yoda bust is in. I didn't pick it up yet, but did take a look at it. The one thing that surprised me (though in retrospect it shouldn't have) is the size. The thing is really small. I guess it's the correct proportions for Yoda relative to the other busts, but considering the price is the same it was a bit of a letdown. Other then that though, the bust seems to be really nice. Looking forward to picking it up.

I'm very strongly tending towards OT only these days.I feel the same way, which is why although the bust looks nice, it's an easy "no" for me. The Vader I'm treating as OT since I don't have the first one. Other then that, it's picking and choosing these things. Once Vader and Yoda hit, the only ones I really want (assuming they make them) are Chewie, a Tie pilot, and maybe a royal guard.

Actually the place I've been picking up my DC Direct figures from charges pretty close to the price of ML figures at TRU. I think my ML nightcrawler was $12.99 from TRU (canadian), while the latest Justice figures were $13.47 each. I know in the past DC Direct figures were pricey, but they really seem to have come down in the last year.

Just picked up a couple of the Justice series 2 figures (Batman and Aquaman). Batman looks pretty nice, though the decision to give him pupils is a bit strange. Aquaman is a big surprise - very nice figure. Although I'm not sure I really like the metallic green, on the whole he looks great.
I also just saw pics of the next wave, and the Joker looks fantastic.

I was pretty sad to see the line go, and being in Canada I'll never see the stactions (Hordak looks awesome). The one figure I was pretty sad to not get was Zodac - he was one of my first motu figures back in the day. I've thought about going the ebay route now that the prices have come down a bit, but with the line being dead the enthusiasm just isn't there.

What??? ML10 hit here already? That's a bit of a shock. Brent, if you see a cyclops can you grab him for me? I'll pick him up when I pick up the JL green arrow from you.
Spiderman - Head and shoulders of Sentinel
Cyclops - arm, left
Black Panther - arm, right
Angel - leg, left
Omega Red - torso
Mr. Sinister - leg, right
Mystique - torso - duplicate part
Just wanted to bump that part back up so I could find it. ML10 showed up at our TRU's today. By the time I got there, all that was left was the Black Panther and Spiderman, so I grabbed both. Other retailers bumped their prices, so TRU is only a buck more now.
The Blue Beetle wave of Spidey stuff also showed up, but the Beetle was gone before I got there so I still haven't made a final decision on it. The spin-n-zip Spidey looked almost 2099-ish. Odd costume - interesting.

I love these guys, but I hope it doesn't go on for too many more series. One big question mark I have is if they will ever do new versions of any of the more exclusive stuff. Particularly, the early bird set. I would love to get a chewie, and a leia in white robes, but don't want to try hunting down/spending cash on the early bird set.

You know it. When they eventually do the royal guards they had better not be one per case!!!
btw - Dale, I got my box on monday. Since I'm in somewhat cramped quarters at the moment, only Vader has made it out on display so far. Looking forward to putting the rest of them out.

I think action figures are going down the same road that comics did. They ARE here to stay, but at the same time they will become more and more of a niche market.
As noted above, a big part of it may be videogames. Kids just don't seem to play with action figures any more. They may have another resurgence in the future, but for now they don't really have a wide audience - mainly the adult collector.

For anyone who's ordered the Han bust through Diamond (via local comic stores and the like), any ideas when they're shipping?
This is the first one I've gone this route for, and I'm just wondering if there's much of a lag after they appear at retail.

I hadn't realized you picked up the vader statue. Mind you, I suppose I'm not surprised. Envious, yeah. Surprised, no. I've definitely got to come by and check that one out.
