Hall of Justice / Re: DC Universe Classics Wave 15

Martian Manhunter is as good as expected.  Raven looks great, as does the classic starman.  I'm glad that OMAC is the Kirby one, but he's still a bit goofy.  Jemm is better then I expected, and Validus looks great.  Batman on the other hand...

If anyone is ordering a master case and will have an extra complete set, please let me know.  I've pretty much been out of the kubrick scene since they started with the prequel figures, but now that they are back to OT I would like to get back in.

Hall of Justice / Re: DC Comics' "Super Powers"

Dick Grayson Robin is a must in my mind.  Given that Kalibak was a BAF, it's unlikely he would be redone with the Super Powers costume.  As for Orion - uggh, I hope they NEVER make one like the Super Powers version.  That was one of the worst character designs I've seen.  I could be wrong, but I believe that design was created solely for the super powers toy-line and mini series.  I was a pretty avid comic collector back then, and I don't recall ever seeing it outside of that.

Can't recall where I read it, but the rumoured BAF is elastic girl.

Sweet.  I was just saying a few posts up that farmboy luke is the final "main" character that I want.  Though I'm not thrilled with the pose.  It's not a bad pose, but it will be very difficult to fit on my shelves from the looks of it.

Just got the Darkseid wave yesterday.  Another awesome wave - the figures are all really well done.  I didn't really care about Darkseid, as I was very happy with the DC Superheroes one.  Now that they're side by side, I really like the new one.  He's a touch big, but the old one was a bit too small.  So while neither are perfect I think the new one is an improvement.

Looking forward to Trigon.  Not looking forward to hunting down Ultra-Humanite.  Curious to see what comes next.

Another one that would be awesome is Ree-yees.  And (just for you Brent), Wicket!!!

I just picked up my snowtrooper (which is awesome), so the imperials are now pretty much done.  My main focus in collecting this line was to get the imperials, bounty hunters, and main characters in their "classic" looks. All original trilogy that is.  The imperials are all out, and with Lando and 4-lom coming, it looks like Gentle Giant is winding down for me.  I would still like to get a farm boy luke, and a new boba fett sculpt (as I'll never be able to afford the original).  After that, it'll be picking and choosing ones that I like.  I would love to see a hammerhead get made as well.

Anyone else have a gentle giant wish list?

Sigh.  I really wish this line would start putting out crappy figures, because then I could pass on a few of them and not expend so much effort/$$$ hunting them down.  Although most of these characters are not "A-listers", it's still an awesome wave.  And the figures are all really well done.  I am amazed at how varied the line-up is.  But I wish they would finish some teams before starting new ones.  We're already at wave 14, and most toy lines don't seem to last much longer then this.  It would be quite sad to have the line end before finishing up some of the super-teams.

After Battle Cat arrives, I'm going to have to rethink keeping my figures in the package.

Yeah, I picked up a second He-man and Skeletor.  I'm hoping/expecting that with Battle Cat coming, Panthor can't be far behind.

He comes with a normal hand and a motherbox that fits perfectly in it.

Nice.  I was hoping to hear that.

Too bad I'll never see them.  I couldn't care less about those figures (other then Silver Banshee), but I would build a Brimstone for $35 and then give away the other to assorted nephew's and neices.

Like all of Wal-Mart's "clearances", it probably isn't nation-wide, but I noticed that our local store has the exclusive wave (actually all DCUC figures) on clearance for $5 each.  Not much of a selection here, but just thought I'd pass it along just in case it might happen at your local store(s).

Question for you on Darkseid - does he come with a normal "gloved" hand.  All the pictures I have seen show a metal hand, which I would prefer not to have.

I had told myself that I was done with SW ships, but this is one I had as a kid and I've been pining for a new one since the line was restarted in, what was it, 95?  96?  Hopefully it makes it to my neck of the woods.

I also plan on trying for Beast man and BA he-man.  I'm losing faith in Matty Collector though.  My Nov shipment still has not surfaced, and numerous call to customer service so far have resulted in nothing.
