Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What Movie Sequels Should of Happened?
« on: August 15, 2004, 11:04 PM »
The Last Starfighter.

American History X- it finished really quick , i'd love to see Edward Nortons charachter go down the dark path again or how he deals with his brothers death.

Aliens- now i know that some people consider 3 and ressurection sequals but as far as i'm concerned they never happened, dammit Hicks was supposed to live and the aliens infect earth. Then all hell breaks loose. Oh yeah and bring back Cameron to direct it.

Osmosis Jones - that was funny i want more osmosis!!

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Everything eBay! Scams, questions, etc...
« on: August 15, 2004, 06:12 AM »
I'd be one of those ebay idiots!!
When i first started using ebay i'd watch the auctions and start bidding towards the end of it and by doing this i fell into the just a little more trap, and ended up paying some stupid amounts of moneyfor some things.
Now i've got a bit more control, i see something i want decide how much I would spend on it and put that bid in, if i win terrific if not , it just means someone else wants it more than i'm willing to pay , and good luck to them.
It means i keep my sanity and my budget under control, so i don't really think it's stupid to bid on an item early in the auction.

I think the fact that most of the background charachters were puppets guys in suits made them "real" to me in the fact that they were there, they were actually in that space, look at charachter interaction in the cantina versus say when Obiwan first meets Jarjar and where he is looking, his line of sight was completely out of whack.
Also that most of the sets were real , not so much blue screen or green screen or whatever they use these days.
I knew the place in cloud city where Luke and Vader were fighting was real "constructed" not filled in later by computer, Jeff Goldblooms charachter in JP said it best , "just because you can do something doesn't mean you should"
I think thats the case , what were the chances of robots playing American football in outer space watching it in a bar???
That scene really annoyed the crap outta me, i could accept the races both pods and animals but not the football.
Like many have said before there is no-one there i care about.

Hmmm
EP1 has to be the light saber fight between Maul and Obi the sheer speed is mind boggling and it just looks so dam cool, the thing that upset me about mauls death was the fact that obiwan ahd done a flip over maul and tried to hit him and he flicked the attack away whilst getting up and then gets cut in half like a dufuss, kinda reminds me of boba fett, lucas made us think he was all cool and stuff and then he dies screaming like a beatch.
As for EP2
Obiwan to Anakin - why do feel you'll be the death of me
was pure magic a great line, The arena battle needed to go a little longer and maybe focus on some of the other jedi a bit more, i mean i was on the edge of my seat on opening night when i heard all those sabers light up i was in fanboy heaven!!

« on: August 13, 2004, 08:30 PM »
Yep
Got the other 10 OTC on it's way as well should have it from them on Monday or Tuesday
Casefresh.com is the company and as fas as stuff goes in Australia they really can't be beaten on the stock they carry.
Added to the fact their service is exceptional i have no reason to go anywhere else to get my starwars fix.

I stopped bothering with retail here in Australia
These shops do nothing here to help collectors during non movie periods and then when some stock comes in they think i'm gonna give em my hard earned cash?
Hell No
Got an online retailer that sells cheaper than retail, gets exclusives in has free shipping on orders over $80 and gets me my stuff fast
This arrived for me today

Hemish: My convention saber stand was a-ok.  Maybe you got a dud.  That really sucks if you did.  Are you sure you put the pieces in the correct sides?

These are the parts i got. I've emailed MR about it just waiting on a reply
