Kubricks / Series 2
« on: June 5, 2004, 06:46 PM »
I hope it is a ROTJ theme, I really want Yoda, A Royal Guard, the Emperor, and  Jedi Luke.

However with that said, I would love a Jabba's Palace wave. I would love to see a Kubrick Box set for Jabba the Hutt.

As such, I think it bothers me a little now, that R2's bubble is on the "wrong side"...

I think it's on the right side. Yet again Medicom prove that they have an eye for detail.

And that is why I love that figure so much. (Thanks again Simon) It is so much like the vintage one. I can't wait for a Droids C-3PO from them (as well as a regular one).

I think Hasbro is really screwing themselves over and in turn screwing us. The stores are not going to be selling all the re-issues. I know I wont be buying them. Stores will be stuck with over stock and stop ordering. :(

I am very happy we are finally getting this. The price is a little high but I will bite the bullet. This is the one vintage vehicle I want but don't have. This will make me happy enough so I don thave to dish out the cash for a vintage one.

People are just sick, and that Han Solo was just wrong. I wish I had money i could throw away like that. At least I woul duse it for something actually worth it like a Vlix figure or a 63rd POTF coin.

Just terrible, all this that Hasbro is doing with re-releasing all this old figures hurts them as well as the line. :(

BTW evenflow; Nice score on the R2! Have you got the other carded SW Kubricks as well?

No thats the first one. I don't think i will ever be able to afford the Boba Fett, but Luke is doable. He is next. :)
I'm with you, but its going to bug me to no end seeing a Luke and R2 on top of case and knowing there is another carded Kubrick out there

I can't argue that, but for now I will just have to deal. Who knows what the future will bring.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: The Future of Star Wars Collecting

Somewhat true, but a fan choice poll wouldn't hurt. They could give us 5 choices of EU lines and just vote. Whichever storyline gets the win we get an assortment of figures.

This is clearly the best year Hasbro has ever given us, from selection to sculpts to value.  Very, very happy.

I agree and totoally disagree at the same time. We are getting 6 or 7 awesome figures. The rest well, it pretty much sucks that they are not new sculpts.

Yarna Da'l Gargan is the most overdue in my book.

My hat is off to you guys that have the restraint to only buy what you need/like. I wish I was able to do that, but I'm such a sucker for the new packaging that I'll buy whatever they throw my way.

I used to be that way, but just asked myself why one day. I don't need to be a completist anymore. I just buy the new figures. Thats good enough for me. Besides the extra cash has allowed me to pick up other items like Star Wars Kubricks or get into other lines like minimates and Marvel Legends.
