Well, if his mother warned him, then it must be a sequel to T3.  In a prequel, his mother would be ignorant.  So I don't know why he'd be mystified about Skynet developing human tissue...

"You know... maybe this has something to do with that big-ass robot with all the muscles that saved me in 1994... and again 10 year later... he had skin!"

I'd just like to know in which of the 10 of them this film is set...

I'd assumed it was a sequel to T3.  But if John Connor doesn't know why Skynet is developing human tissue, the only thing I can conclude is that it's a prequel to T1.

Yes.  It'll even play Blu-rays.  Just at standard def.

If John Connor was visited by Arnie when he was a kid, wouldn't he already know why Skynet is replicating human tissue?  I mean, is this movie set in the future before anybody went into the past, or in the future after everyone went into the past?  If it's the future before, wouldn't Judgment Day have been 199-something?

Is Terminator PG-13?  That's the only way I see it making big bucks.

I have a 30-something inch TV but it's not HD, so I feel like it's kind of pointless getting Blu-Ray.  :-\

Yes, that would be pointless.  Until you get an HDTV you won't see any benefit from Blu-ray, unless you have a really high end sound system (Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, etc.).

Nah... some of the maps are rough.  They did a good job of masking the linearity by making some areas look very open.  That little objective pointer has proven valuable already.

Plus, I get this feeling that things are going to progress to the AppleTV/Digital Download type thing before too terribly long - which I think could be nice.  I know its handy when we have movies/shows recorded on our DVR it is pretty easy to watch something or switch around/whatever.

The real downside of downloading movies is compression.  Even watching movies on FiOS I see artifacting and blurriness, and FiOS is just about the least compressed content available.  DirecTV was a joke.  Until the infrastructure is dramatically improved to allow uncompressed movies to be streamed, I'll be sticking to Blu-rays.  I've watched so many films that have just blown me away it'd be difficult to regress to 5-Gig compressed junk.

PS2 just dropped to $99.  There's still an occasional new game released, but for the most part developers have moved on to the PS3.  I expect a price cut to be announced prior to E3 in a few weeks, so you might want to hold your horses until mid-May.

I'll predict Transformers 2 in first.  New Trek at two.  And Up third.

GI Joe will and must bomb.   ;)

I've taken the same approach as you.  I've only re-bought a handful of Blu-rays, all of them favorites.  I have tons of DVDs that I'll likely never watch again, so they're just staying on the shelves.  But after I got a PS3 I decided I was done buying DVDs... it's Blu-ray or nothing.  I'm also renting a bunch through Netflix.  Standard DVDs just don't hold a candle.

I will get Star Wars, LOTR, and others biggies when they become available.  But I don't plan to replace most of what I own.

If I watch the films on DVD, I watch the Extended Editions.  I haven't watch the theatrical versions on DVD since the EEs were released.
The initial release of the trilogy on Blu-ray looks to be the theatrical versions.  I'll take it (for now), but it's still rather lame.

I read somewhere they'll release an "Ultimate" box set containing the EEs prior to the release of "The Hobbit - part 1," Christmas 2011.  Hopefully they'll use 100-Gig Blu-rays so they fit each film on one disc.
