Fox considers bringing back Futurama!!!

Quote
Actor Billy West, the voice of Fry, Farnsworth, Zoidberg, Brannigan and more told the audience at the Anime Supercon in Florida recently that due to the strong sales of the Futurama DVD’s, Fox is considering a 6th season for a show they once canned due to poor ratings.

Looks like the BF stuff starts around 19 minutes in.  But there's quite a few guys in front of monitors, and the resolution is pretty poor.

I'd like to know why the older, discontinued 20GB and 60GB versions can play BFII but my newer 80GB version can't.

Because they removed the Emotion Engine hardware from that SKU and only featured software emulation along with the legacy GPU.  The 20 and 60 had both hardware components.  Sony did this as a cost-saving measure, concluding most gamers didn't want backward compatibility.  Personally, I think it was a mistake on their part.  But it was a well-publicized change, so you'd need to be pretty ignorant not to know what you were getting.

The Beast with a Billion Backs

Bender's Game

Into the Wild Green Yonder

I rented BwaBB first thing after I signed up for Netflix.  I thought it was fantastic... much better than Bender's Big Score.  Since The others are available on Blu-ray I intend to purchase them.  But I'm waiting a bit, hoping for a sale.

It's worth noting that sales of the movies have exceeded expectations, and there's a good chance they'll do more.

I haven't checked the backward compatibility list of the MGS 80-Gig, but I know it was more limited than the earlier 60-Gig.  Maybe BF2 isn't on the list.

As far as wireless, you're the only person I've ever known who couldn't set it up correctly.  As such, I blame user error.

If you can't figure out PS3's wireless it's your own stupid fault.  I had mine set up in 5 minutes, and the connection has never dropped.

They're still expanding into new markets.  If it continues to be moderately successful, you might see it in your neck of the woods.

The original trilogy was epic, following the traditional hero arc.  The story was fairly basic, the characters were standard archetypes.  With this basic framework, the characters were able to really connect with the audience and capture their imagination.

The prequels are a mess about politics and corruption.  The focus on Vader, from annoying brat to whiny teen, alienated the audience.  The plot was confusing and dull.  And he cheapened the OT by finding ways to toss in popular characters in critical roles in ways that didn't make sense.  If was just poorly executed from start to finish.  I think the people who "love" it just enjoy the visceral thrill of the lightsaber battles, which were excellent.  But almost everything else is flat.
