Saga '02-'04 / Re:400th figure
« on: March 6, 2003, 11:13 AM »
Welcome to the site BidderFett :)

We by most counts have actually passed 500 actual figures (inlcuding all pack ins, Cinema scenes, deluxe etc etc etc)

I believe we did pass carded figure #400 as well...if they do make a carded figure #500 what would you want?

I would like an ultimate Yoda, Soft Goods, two legs, nice hair, snake, boiling pot, maybe even his hut on Dagobah too...

 ;D Elliott ;D  I do that too when I don't know actors names...too funny

Last movie I saw was Chicago  Its a musical, it was my wife's turn to pick the movie and with all of its Oscar buzz I thought why not.  It was decent, the story was good, the singing was good.  Richard Gere was the perfect actor for the part, but he cannot sing worth a dime.  Zeta Jones and Zellweger were both very good in their roles as was Queen Latifah.

I don't think this is Best Picture of the Year material at all (I thought last year's Moulin Rouge was 10x better)  If it does win it must have been a really weak year for movies.  TTT was far better, and I think the LOTR is getting the shaft, one 9 hour movie would have won best picture but there is no way one of the three parts ever will.  Too bad really...

So on the OCB scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, 1 the lowest I'll give Chicago a 7.  Worth the money if you like musicals in general, it also is a very good story on fame and the like.

Yes it doesn't make much sense at all, originally there was debate that the theatrical credits said Lott Dod and the Official Website said Gilramos Libkath, since then it has been changed to Lott Dod and most on-line references (including the Data Bank) say Lott

I've seen this talked about a couple of times now...the Neimoidian in the credits and most official products list the guy as Lott Dod...

See here:

http://starwars.com/episode-ii/imageattack/2003/02/imageattack20030228.html

From the Official Site EpII Cast List:

Hermione Bagwa
Elan Sleazebaggano
Lott Dod
Plo Koon
Corde
Mas Amedda

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

I think the name  Gilramos Libkath is sort of like the Saar Labooda (or whatever Coleman Trebor was) it was an original name created by ILM before LFL officially dubbed the charatcer.  Why they didn't make him Rune Haako is the real mystery to me

I've gotten through the TTT bootleg 1/2 way now and so far the quality is excellent, some scenes in the theater are not there in this DVD, probably because they shipped out this "screener" ahead of the release.

Every so often a little blurb comes up which says: "For you consideration"  This is what screeners are, they are for awards show voters to preview movies ahead of time.

Well worth the $10 and enough to tide me over until the Extended Version Release in the Fall

It sounds like The Simpsons: Season 3 will be released in June, hopefully Season 4 by Christmas in what I consider to be the Golden Age of the Simpsons, I can't wait!
