The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (SPOILERS)

In the Visual Dictionary they have pictures of Rey in a Snowspeeder

Also on those shots of the First Order army assembled you can see walkers and transports off in the distance...

For the last couple of years we ran an informal poll with your 10 most wanted characters from the current Star Wars Films.  Continuing the tradition and trying to finish up before SDCC, I thought it would be a good time to revisit those lists. Here's how it works: You send your Wish List for 10[/i] 3 3/4" Figures to me or post them here, be it new figures, resculpts or even re-releases and I'll tally the votes.  After a month or so of list taking I'll publish the results and we will move on to the next movie.   Have fun and thanks for sending in your lists (remember to limit it to ten)!

Sydows character is named Lor San Tekka according to books released today

It also looks like there was supposed to be much more Republic and Senate than was shown

All excellent points.  I totally agree about the stuff on the cargo ship.  Entertaining, but extraneous.

Perhaps Von Sydow plays Kanan Jarrus?
ooh...good one...or Ezra

That battle between Rey and Ren at the end was amazing...people cheered as the saber flew past his head and she ignited it...so bad ass

Hugs to Jeff.  He'll need them, I'm sure.

Sorry Jeff :(

Absolutely loved it...that scene on the catwalk was brutal and you could hear a pin drop in the theater

A few questions that haven't been answered

Han and Leia seem to know Snoke...how?
Who was Max Von Sydow?
Where were any OT aliens outside of Ackbar and Nunb?  No Rodians?

Agreed on Phasma...she seemed wasted

Loved the first scene with 3PO
loved the medic scene with Chewie

How about The Leftovers on HBO?  Its a little slow but I sorta like where it is going.
bump...I really love this show, this last season kicked season 1 which wound up being really good by the end

HBO picked up Season 3 which will be the end

What I like most about the show is that it is so unsettling and really really makes me think about life, death and all of that jazz.  If you liked Lost, I'd give it a try.  It's not the same show at all but it totally messes with you and has some cool threaded plots much like Lost had

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: The Phantom Menace: Was it That Bad?

I stand by what I said 9 years ago...TPM was ruined by Jake Lloyd, not that it was his fault but the sheer stupidity of casting some unknown kid as Darth Freaking Vader was dumb beyond dumb.  Couple that with a kid who could not act nor was mentally prepared for what was about to happen him was ultimately tragic.

They should make a movie about Jake Lloyd's life

Wow...currently 98% positive on Rotten Tomatoes, universal critical acclaim?  Lets see if it passes the Fanboy test

Wow...I can't believe its been 10 years since I posted this originally and how much my life and all of our lives had changed.  Part of me sitting in my chair in 2005 was melancholy in the fact that this was it, this was the end of SW movies and we were about to transition into a Wizard of Oz type fandom of clutching to our Peter Pan youth of yore for many years to come.

In the last 10 years, as stated, much has changed in my own personal life, I've changed jobs, moved, my boys have grown from babies into fine young little men.  Oh, and they are making Star Wars movies again.  It is really hard to describe how freaking awesome that is and how for 2 hours on Thursday with a fresh set of eyes I can relive my youth and watch with awe the opening crawl of a new chapter in the saga and really all of our lives again.

Enjoy it all...suck it all in, this is all distraction from the mundane scary world we all live in, full of illness and hate.  May the force be with you all, always!
