The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Walmart Black Series 3.75" Wave 3
« on: December 24, 2015, 05:03 AM »
I hadn't really been planning on grabbing the 3-3/4" TBS figures, but I couldn't resist when I saw them on the pegs at WM.  I'm keeping them carded/boxed for now with my Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers.

I came across this link on Facebook and thought maybe it could help someone here.  It looks like a third party seller via Sears' website.  $64.99.

There's always some jackass that wants to take advantage of someone's good nature to make a buck.  I'm glad you told him to hit the bricks Paul.

HLJ just listed a new Be@rbrick 2-pack -- a holographic Darth Vader with Darth Maul.

2550yen or about $21US.

I wish I lived in Canada because up there you will be able to get 6" SW figures for $10 a piece at Walmart. I would kill for a deal like that here.

Trust me, one deal like this does not make up for the rest of the Third World-like supply and pricing issues we normally have.  That $10 deal only applies to the last 2 waves of 6" figures from the pre-TFA waves.

Our dollar is in the ******* so you can add 35% to any online purchases and international shipping has gone through the roof.  /rant  ;)

My Canadian Walmart was a pleasant surprise with multiples of this wave on the pegs.

I think someone was trying to peek under Leia's dress.

This thing is huge!  It took me a long time trying to decide to spend the money when I found it at TRU, but I don't regret it for a second.  I love that the cockpit can actually hold 2 figures.

Tamashii's website now shows the Royal Guard and Sandtrooper figures.

They both look incredible!

Yeah, I think Vader was originally supposed to come out in December of 2014 and there's still no sign of him.

Wow, you've got some beautiful displays.  Just amazing!

Do yourself a favor and order these.  Dare I say, skip getting R2 from Hasbro, get this one.  It looks pretty in-scale to me to the Hasbro figures, and the crispness and details are just vastly superior even if all you do is apply the stickers after you snap the kit together.

R2 is the only Hasbro 6" figure I'm missing from my OT collection, so this could be a great way to go.  The aftermarket prices for R2 are ridiculous right now.

edit -- The Bandai 1/12 version comes with a ton of accessories too, I'm seriously considering this...

This just may be one of the greatest pieces I have -- the classic Vader carry case signed by James Earl Jones.  I won it in a raffle to support a member on another forum.  I couldn't be happier to add this to my Vader collection.
