StarWarsShop.com has got some great ceramic cookie jars that are actually produced in England by Cards Inc., including the first every officially licensed Darth Vader cookie jar.  Very cool.

I just finished reading an article in the latest Insider (#83) about the upcoming novel, Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader.  I haven't read many novels lately, but this one has piqued my interest.

It's written by James Luceno, the same author that wrote Labyrinth of Evil, the lead-in to Episode III.  It's available at Amazon.com for $17.13, 34% of the list price of $25.95.

Apparently a big focus of the novel is the relationship between Vader and Palpatine, which I'm very curious to read about.  Obviously Anakin was manipulated into his position, so what does he think of that?

According to this eBay link, it is 1 of only 25 made.  It is made by Michael Lau, apparently otherwise known as Mr Shoe.

And a bargain at only 99.99 pounds (nearly $200US).   

Slave1.jp is reporting that a 1/2 scale Darth Vader will be released in July in Japan for the price of 64,000 Yen ($570US or $695CDN).  Unfortunately, I'm not sure who will be releasing it.  The following information is translated from Slave1.jp:

"The reservation of big size DarthVader of 1/2 scales was started. The breath sound of Vader is done the internal organs, the gimmick where the light/write saver radiates with single three electric battery 3. Total length: Approximately 1m, manufacturer details obscurity. Sale day: 2005 July reservation price: 64,000 "
