Great stuff, that Jawa focus is looking fantastic!  Is that a Regal Jawa in the corner?  Awesome.

1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / Re: 1/6 General Grievous
« on: August 1, 2013, 05:00 AM »
I broke the bank with Vader, and even as cool as Grievous looks, I have to pass on him.  I think he may actually be worth that price because I'm sure SS had to design him from scratch, but he just doesn't fit into my collection easily.

I hope that Reed is going to stay on as the promoter.  I like how they've built up New York Comic Con, although I didn't get a chance to attend the Star Wars Celebrations that they promoted.  And I think they probably did a far better job than the promoters who did Celebration 2, 3 and 4.

I agree about Reed staying involved, I thought they did a hell of a good job for CV in Orlando.

Did she ever?    :-*

Well, I, she, um...  Damn.   :'(

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series - 2013 Wave 3

The Stormtrooper looks amazing, I'm hoping it looks as good in person as it does in photos.  I like how they picked an 'optional' weapon to include with it to create a little more interest.

Sounds like both figures will be offered later on, with the Fett coming right around the corner.  Honestly, for a significant reduction in price and a thousand times less stress, I am at peace with just being patient.
This is the approach I'm trying to take.  I know Fett is coming in a few months and I just can't get that excited about the Han in carbonite.  Of course, I'm primarily a loose collector these days, so the packaging doesn't concern me much.

Though I certainly have to agree with others that making it difficult to get the very first figure released in a new line is an odd way to get collectors excited about collecting it.

Removable blaster included.  8)

Sweet! Now how does one get the wife on board with one of these things?

Shoes.  Lots of shoes.

Anaheim is sure a hell of a lot closer than Orlando for this western Canuck.  My daughters will be 8 and almost 14 then, I wonder if the older one will still think it's cool to hang out with her dad around a bunch of Star Wars geeks.   :P

I'm probably all in with the OT offerings, still on the fence with the prequel stuff.  Now I just need to figure out where I'll put them :).

That's definitely one of the biggest challenges these days.

SDCC Panel confirms Slave Leia and ANH Han for Wave 2 -

Wave 2 = Slave Leia, Greedo, ESB Fett, and ANH Han Solo.

So would it be safe to assume this is the same Fett from the SDCC boxset?  I don't really need the Han in carbonite.

YakFace has a nice look at the loose figures for this wave, I think Mara Jade will be my fave.

No, I checked my initial order and it still showed the higher price, so I just cancelled/reordered.  However, as far as I know, this is the first time they've shipped toys to Canada, so maybe that somehow affected things?  You may have a different experience.

I had preordered at the $99 price because this is one of the definitive ships left for my collection.  But seeing it at $69 makes me MUCH happier -- I simply made a new order and cancelled the old one.  8)
