I like that Obi-Wan, it has the "rugged" look like Anakin.  However, the Grievous just looks bad.

Wow, that's really got to be one of the most bizarre threads I've read.  Some of those guys really get worked up when they're trying to defend an opinion that has no logic, eh?  Like Jesse James said: it's like "beating your head off a brick wall" trying to figure it all out.

After some busy shopping towards the end of the month, I've made some progress towards nearly completing my OTC collection.  My list is updated here.

Geez, you are Canadian.  Rye and coke?  Blech.

Damn prairie kids ::) :-*

Well, actually, nowadays its Rye and Diet Pepsi - gotta watch my figure you know.  I'm not as svelt (sp?) as I used to be.

Kubricks / Re: Power of the Kubricks!
« on: February 4, 2005, 02:36 PM »
Hmmm... this would be a hell of a way to jump in to Kubrick collecting.  Better go buy some 6-49's!  That's about the only way I could cover the $1116 CDN.

Estimated Jackpot for Saturday, February 5, 2005 - $4,000,000. Know doubt someone from down east will win it.  :-\

Bloody Easteners!  Don't they know my wheat field isn't going to pay the bills?  And besides, my cow needs new shoes.

Uh, what the hell does that mean anyway?  Some idiot drove the forklift off the loading dock?

Resolve, what's that?   ::)

I know for a fact that I'll be picking up all of the basic figures, but that's because of that damn completist gene in me.  As well, I'll be hoping to pick up the Unleashed (one of my favourite lines), Galactic Heroes (those things are just too frickin' cute  ;)), and the Force Battlers (if they make it up here, they look kinda neat).  If the price is right, I'm also hoping to pick up a few vehicles.  I've never collected the 12" line; and I've only ever bothered to pick up the OTC Darth Vader Lightsaber, not really interested in the rest.

Yikes, I'm glad to hear that your feeling okay (or like you said, as good as can be expected).  It's scary how these things work - as soon as you think you're safe...

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Bachelor Parties
« on: February 4, 2005, 12:22 PM »
Ah, my bachelor party.  'Twas a great nite, from what I can remember.  My wife's
uncle set up my party at the Eagles Club in town, just a lounge basically.  But I was
really surprised by how many of my male relatives made it to the party, and a bunch
of buddies came into town a day early.  We basically just played pool and shot the
**** - a great chance to reminisce about some of the stupid **** we've done over the
years.   :)

I started with rye and coke, my poison of choice.  Then I did something much
more stupid, I moved to shooters - bad idea.  I don't remember much of the nite
after that, except needing to get some fresh air before I got in the cab to go home.
My ability to walk was slightly impaired, so my father-in-law had to hold my hand as
we crossed the many streets - he still gets much joy in this fact and rubs in as often
as possible.  :-[  :D

My 3-packs of Stormtroopers arrived from SWS.com today.  Naturally, no Blackhole Stormie for me.  That's OK though, I'm not too sure I'm going to even consider that they exist, it's just easier that way.   ;)

I'll have to play with them tomorrow and see how many configurations I can get out of the 9 that I received.

And now GH.com is reporting a 2nd Blackhole Stormtrooper - this one is posed with his blaster pointing forward.

Check it out

Anyone think it's possible that there's 9 of these variants? or 18 or whatever the final combination is supposed to be?  This could get ugly in a hurry.  :-\

Collections / Re: Deconstructing a collection.
« on: January 31, 2005, 05:07 PM »
Lots of the single carded figures have since been opened, but I can't bring myself to open the orange carded POTF2 stuff.  Yeah, it's fairly hideous in a he-man sense, but it's my "vintage" stuff, that got me hooked on this stupid habit anyway.

You know, the orange carded figures are some of my favourites.  Certainly not because of their accurate sculpts, but simply because they re-ignited the collecting passion that I had as a kid.  As well, I think their He-Man likeness adds a certain uniqueness that I just can't get enough of.  Even though I keep everything carded, one of these days I'm going to track down a second collection of these figures to open and show off their buffness!   :)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: 2005 RotS Figures Release List
« on: January 31, 2005, 04:55 PM »
Also, the leaked case seemed to be 12 figures per case all 1 per case. That's good news...no shortpacking and with what looks to be an all out onslaught of figures, it should be easy to get sets

Actually I kind of liked the shortpacking.  It made it more exciting when you finally found them.  ;D

No thanx, I prefer to actually find what I'm looking for - it's hard enuf without strange packing ratios screwing it up for me.   ;)
