Far from pointless!  Along the same thinking, I was wondering about and trying to keep track of all the product lines we'll be seeing for ROTS.  As more and more info pops up about the stuff to come, it's nice to be able to keep track of it all so I can make an "educated" decision about where my hard earned $$ are going to go.  I'll try and add more to the list...

I don't see how they could possibly reach the saturation levels they reached with Episode I  ;).  I agree, I hope we don't see some of the crap we saw back then.  However, I think this Darth Tater is a great product, very unique.  I plan on getting 2 - 1 for me, 1 for my daughter - I think the display value for me and the play value for her will be great.

Very cool!  Your life is going to be forever changed, and so much for the better.

Nothing beats molding and nurturing a young mind, then one day your little one says "Daddy, can we watch Star Wars again?"  Well, what more can you ask for in life?   ;)

Yikes.  Keep safe, OK?  But if you do need to evacuate, don't use this road:   :o

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone Trooper 4 Packs!
« on: January 10, 2005, 09:48 PM »
I held off ordering these because of the cross border shipping, but now 3 Canadian e-tailers have stepped up the plate and are going to provide these.  Priced between $39.99 and $44.99 CDN: Ages 3 and Up, Legends, and Toy Addict (not yet listed).

Considering they are $35 US and since I'm a carded kind of guy, I really like the packaging and decided I can live with the Canadian prices.  And with that being said, I ordered one of each set.   :)

Well, there might be the hiding-it-from-the-wife factor mixed in there as well, but most of my intentions are honourable :P

Been looking at the Hyundai SUVs-- the Santa Fe and the Tuscon. I've come to the conclusion that my Elantra is not good for winter, these last two being particularly brutal. Hopefully the used ones won't kill me price-wise.

If JoshEEE reads this he'll be off on his SUV-hating tangent again.

If you're looking for an endorsement of a smaller SUV, try out the Ford Escape.  That's what my wife usually drives (even though it's registered in my name  :P), and we both absolutely love it.

The AWD is really incredible in all weather conditions and the 200HP V6 is very responsive.  On the highway at 100clicks (60mph), it'll drop all the way into 1st gear if you want it to when passing traffic.  Despite that, the mileage is very decent.  As well, it's got lots of room for hauling people and cargo (of course, not as much as the full size SUVs, but it does the job for our shopping trips to the city  :)).

Pricewise, it was likely in the middle of the road.  We bought the Limited Edition, so we ended up paying for luxuries like leather seats (very handy for cleaning up spilled milk in the back seat ).  This domestic vehicle is actually shared with the Mazda tribute platform, so it has the benefits of longer term resale value that the imports often have.

Would I buy one again?  Absolutely.

I live in Winnipeg and get stuff delivered to Carman, so it stays nice and warm and DRY in the post office until I go get it.  Be careful what you ask for.

Hmmm... Good point.  Things are always greener on the other side, aren't they?  ;)  When you put it that way, at least I know that they're safe from exposure to the elements.

Is that the price for the tires, rims and lugs? Or are the Ice-X tires that much more now?

Thankfully, that was the final price for eveything: tires, rims, lugs, balancing, taxes.  The actual tires were $140 a piece for the 195-65R15's.  The Vibe came with 205-55R16's, but I read that stepping down to a smaller rim with a narrower tire is a smart way to go.  I think they call it "minus sizing"
