No, custom black frame, but I can still take the poster out for the conventions.

Saw this, ordered mine this morning.

It actually comes to something like $17 and change with Shipping.  Not too bad I guess. Still a fairly low pricepoint for an "exclusive".

Plus, it's two of the franchises hottest badies!!!!!!  Since I have both the clear sets from San Diego and both Leia variants, looks like I have to get these too.

Don;t know which one I should use    ;^)   or :^(

By the way, I haven't posted for a while on Battlefronts mostly becasue I wanted to see them work out a few kinks.  I was having some lag problems (and I have a cable modem!) so now it seems to be running much smoother.

Looks like another  PS2 patch is due any day now, and everything has been pretty good lately.

Anyone wants to try and hookup for a game(I'm bobafett14), feel free to email me at:

bobafett.fourteen@verizon.net

I know it gets tough, but I'll be home a good bit around the holidays-off most of Thanksgiving week, X-mas week and a lot of 3 day weekends off Fri-Sun.)

other than that late evenings(9-midnight) work best for me.  The "homemade" servers don;t seem to work too great for me-I usually stick to just the plain "Movie-022" type servers. Best would be to prob. email with a time, check email at that time, and pick a server that isn't full or near full.

Burning a lot of vacation time. ;^)

Collector's Tips / Re: Has anybody had any experience with these?

That's a great price!

The best I get them for is about .89/ea. + S&H for a protectopack. (Case of 90)

Adkins Collectibles:

There's pics of some of my figs in them in the Starcase thread.  They also hold the CW animated, and the bigger bubbles like the EP I destroyer droid, but not E Mon.  They are extremely thick-closer to and better than the Starcase, but nothing like the more expensive acrylic cases.

Here's a few pics of figs displayed in the protecto packs, also one pic has the vintage loose just in the individual plastic cases from Michaels stores (I get them with the sales, etc.)
Protectopacks on top, vintage loose underneath:

(by the way, I'm not in the second pic, the guys came over and are playing Battlefronts the first week it came out ;^)

Here's a link to the autographed poster I take around with me.  Over 2 doz. original cast/crew (more now than when the pic was taken) I've since had Irvin Kirshner and a few others added.

Hope the link works:

It's a retail TXH poster mailed out to a handful of stores for the release of the Trilogy VHS in THX.

Other Collectibles / Re: Upcoming Playskool Jedi Force Line

I saw them at the PSWCS meeting this past Sat.  They are pretty nice.  For the price it's a much bigger piece than we're used to getting.  If they truly are going after that "Younger" market(which /I still don;t buy that they are) this is a step in the right direction.

If you ever just took a step back in the toy aisles and looked at all the other toy lines everything is bigger and ....bigger.  (except for SW)  Now, as a collector I personally like the smaller figs, but kids and parents in general when they walk through the aisles seem to always go for the bigger toys.

Look at the radio controlled Hummers they have now-Huge!  It grabs your eyes and kids will run to it with the "Mommy mommy I want that"-before they even know what "that" is just because it's big.  Anytime I see small kids walking around in public with a toy it's a large 12" scale spiderman or Hulk or something.  It's the WOW factor here.

I think parents don't like smaller pieces a)yes, kids can choke on them, B) Kids always leave things lying around or are dropping things, so they have to run around looking for the parts, or don't like to pick up pieces of the toys.

The Luke helmet being permanately attached to the fig by straps are nice features to see (and this feature is sone nicely)  It's not really collector friendly, but for the kids it's cool.

Yep.

Have the Luke (1st edition w/the silver sticker in upper left corner variation)
Have both the Fett's blue and grey (no silver sticker on either)
Have the ST

Well, without listing all the "darn near impossible" or "sell my right arm to get it items"

I'd like to complete my bend-ums individually carded set:
NEED Luke X-wing and Fett.(bud posted that he saw him online for $35-I may bite, just to check it off the list)

Also, have to grab the 3PO cakepan to complete that set, just haven;t gotten around to it.

For whatever reason i hqave to go back and check, I may have missed the Obi jedi training POTJ  not sure.  Don;t remember offhand.

vintage loose-need a few of the HTF POTF Yak, blue snag, amanaman

Other than that it's the usual grab everything I can find and especially everything I can find on clearance.

I usually go for the little stuff, and common stuff to plug holes(can always get stuff cheap)

Found some cool foriegn and bootleg SW stuff through the yrs., always grab a vintage item every year, one guy sells the SW ornaments for like $5 a pop.

Collector's Tips / Re: Starcase

In addition, I'll add I just found that the protecto packs DO hold the animated clone wars figs.  They don't hold the Battlefront Scout trooper.  Still the best "cheap" cases around at .89/ea. ($1.06 w/S&H, etc.) and much sturdier than the star cases.

Also, just got my hands on some "deluxe" size star cases (about $1.50ea.) as for an idea on size-they hold the original POTF2 size deluxe perfect.  This also includes figs like Amanaman POTJ, sith/droid POTJ, also the Saga deluxe like the 3PO/battle droid deluxe and yoda/super battle droid deluxe.

The clone 3 packs which are smaller don;t fit exactly but they do "sit in" the deluxe case bubble nicely(kinda floats in the case).

Hope that info helps.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone 3-pk ...does it suffice?

Call me crazy, but just imagine an ANIMATED  clone 3-pack!

Yeah, that would just about rock.  Too bad no one at Hasbro has even thought about this one.
