Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What does your JD forum member name mean?
« on: September 24, 2005, 03:21 AM »

I'm starting to feel like a total dork with my "Star Warsy" name...  Scott started a bad trend.  OCB bit the dust, then Nataku, now Tydirium, rebeltraders, and Zod...  The peer pressure is killing me!

I was thinking the same thing the other day. My roommate (who has been one of my best friends since highschool) thinks I'm a dweeb for having a name like "Sith Lord Chaos." Since we are on a first name basis here anyways, I thought I'd join the croud. I never start trends, I just follow them. ::)

My name means "little king." I happen to be neither little nor a king. :P

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Whats a good compound for sculpting??
« on: September 23, 2005, 07:22 PM »
I see you mentioned stryene, Styrene is NOT a sculpting compound. It is a sheet plastic that comes in varying thickness, It can be cut to the right shape and depending on the thickness it can be very flexible.

Sadly, I don't go to that forum any longer, after all the staff members from JediDefender.com were all banned... just for being staff members. I think they re-instated my account, but I refuse to go there just out of principle at this point.
You gotta to be kidding me!! I didn't know that happened! I know that some of the folks here were banned from the site, but I thought it was for something else and that it was none of my business.  That is really sad that someone could be so shallow over something as frivolous as a set of forums!
Sorry, back to the topic at hand......I should donate one as well, let me see what I could stand to part with :-[

I think it is lame that no one really knows about that other than those of us who were banned. I got the ax cause at one point they banned CHEWIE there too and I got really pissed off at Philip and Dustin. That was when I realized that this is no more than a business to Philip and he wants to eliminated anything that threatens his income, which would include anything that would possibly advertise JD, or anything not affiliated with him in some way. I think it really shows a lack of class on Philip's part. This has nothing to do with us at JD, it is a charity thing.

Greg- Excellent choice with the scout, I think it should sell really well.
Phruby- Same thing. While it is just a repaint, repaints sell. And I have yet to see any other silver/gold figures, that could fit in with Hasbro's line.

So should I sell my droid or make a clone custom?

Revenge of the Sith / Re: "Evolutions" assortment...

Is it just me, or is the AOTC lower half of the body a LOT darker than the rest of the clone?  Hopefully it's just the pic.

 :P

Now that you mentioned it I noticed that too. I think/hope it is just ligting issue. :-\

I wish I had had the money to pick up more of those during the OTC. Your's look really nice, simple, but effective. :)

When would you geuss #15 will be out?

... look for part 15 to take about a month to complete, as my next several weekends are going to be extremely busy and I won't have the extra time to devote to these for a while.  They take a very long time to do!

I'm thinking about throwing this one up for auction, but I like it a lot and it will be hard to part with.  :-\ I might repaint a clone instead.

**** that. Lucas said he wanted the coprywrite so he could prevent **** like this from happening. Now we know for sure, he's only in it for the money. >:(

Looking at it closer I guess I can see that now. I think that a little more pronounced drybrushing would look even better. As for the cloak I guess that makes sense, I have reversible jackets that have two different colors.

And Ignore my comment about your head, I just now noticed you wrote that in the first post. Stupid sleep deprivation ::)

3702
Very nice MetalJedi! What head is that?

I think that he would look even better if you gave him anither coat of green, some of the original colo seems to be bleeding through. :-\ And then perhaps a bit of a drybrush. I'd paint the inside of the cloak green too, At least near the legs or anywhere else where you can see it from the outside.

Give him a break - he's from California.  There's lots of "stuff" in the air around there.   ;D

That "stuff" also happens to be legal up there in Canada.

It looks better, but it is still an easy pass for me. No way am I shelling out $20 for a shiney clone with random blobs of dark colored paint. I have plenty of other shiney things at my house to be entertained with.... Ooooo, look tin foil from my burrito!!

You gotta keep up with us young'uns if your gonna be hitting 30. ;)

Kevin

That's why I started now. I figured it will never be easier than now and I gotta stop telling myself I'll do it later.

Like Kevin said even a small change in diet can get results. You could set a small goal like 5-10 pounds a month and once you're ready you can fully commit. :)
