Feedback / Re: Greg's (pka mister_palpatine) feedback

Greg just hooked me up with a few Hoth Rebels I had been in need of. Thanks for the super fast shipping. As always a super smooth deal!

I'd get a Dewback if it were $15.

Oh, we have TONS of the DTF wave. For whatever reason though I just haven't seen many of the Tuskens anywhere.

RIP. I really do love McQuarrie's artwork. It really was such a big part of why the OT is so memorable. I agree with Rob, it sure would have been nice to see his stamp on the Prequels.

It really is going to be quite the exciting month or so for the rest of the season. I really hope my Avs can keep up the momentum they have going and take a playoff spot. They may be the youngest team in the NHL right now, but with the talent they have, they need to find away to get past that and make the playoffs.

Man those last two games sure hurt... Especially getting shut out by Columbus at home. That sucked. >:(

I've only ever seen the Tusken once or twice myself. I was hoping these would have dropped with the Vintage price cuts. I was hoping to grab a few Tuskens if the price was right.

Really the only thing I'd probably buy at this point from TPM would be more figures like Rum Sleg. Watching TPM 3D I noticed a lot of background figures that would look good in an OT themed Mos Eisely display as well.

I think it should be noted that this clearance is NOT including everything as I've seen reported...  It's caused a little confusion among our readers though, but yeah not everything is clearanced everywhere.

I've personally seen all Wave 10 TPM figures for full price...  Some got them for $4 but not everybody.  I've only personally seen anything 2011 and older that is ringing up for $4.

And the Wave 11 Deleted Scene figures are not ringing up at all by most accounts, and are not in the system yet.

But yeah, not EVERYTHING, or at least not EVERYWHERE, is ringing up for $4 in the vintage collection.  That's not true at all by many accounts I've read.

Definitely is the case for me. I've had to sweet talk my way into getting Wave 10 and 11 figures for $4. Really thought they all should be. Wal-Mart does such a bad job of marking them. The VIntage pegs all say $4, but it has the old SKU on it. But then they mix all of the figures, old and new on the pegs.

I added a few more figures today:

Sandstorm Lando $4
Endor Rebel $4
Ackbar $4
EPI Darth Sidious $4
Vintage Darth Maul $9

It is interesting how different (and how much better) the paint/coloring is on the Sandstorm Leia from the Revenge Slave Leia. The two figures are only a few months apart, in the exact same line, and use the exact same sculpt, but the paint apps are drastically different. Sandstorm Leia' skin tone has been subdued a bit, making it less peachy colored and more realistic and the bikini has been lightened as well. The head is where the most noticeable changes were made. The dark red lips were drastically lightened and the hair is a lighter brown. The eyes look much better too.

On that same note, Lando's head is actually the same sculpt as the General Lando. I didn't they were since the deco is so different. I think this one makes me appreciate the sculpt a lot more. It didn't look very accurate on General Lando because he has a big splotchy mustache and big caterpillar eyebrows. The Sandstorm Lando's paint toned both of those down a lot and it is remarkable how much more like Billy Dee it looks. Unfortunately, they still kind of missed on his skin color. Sandstorm Lando is too light. His skin color should be closer to the General Lando.

Just a few that'd I'd buy:

1: PK Droid
2: Weazel
3: R5-X2
4: Erdan

I finally bought my first items of 2012... If these $4 figure sales keep going, I'll sure be able to stretch my budget again this year. I'm thinking probably $1000 tops for the year me. The way the last two years have been with distribution and the amount that I've cut back due to price increases that shouldn't be a problem for me.  :)

-Sandstorm Lando, Darth Sidious, Endor Rebel, Darth Maul, Admiral Ackbar $27

I went out to four Wal-Marts tonight. I wasn't able to find any new figures.

That in itself is crazy.

Nobody should be able to go to four different Walmart stores and find nothing new.

Well there was TPM stuff on the shelves it has just been there for a month or so, I wasn't counting it as 'new'. I still have yet to see a 'Vintage' Maul though. And in all fairness, the Denver area has been **** for toys for at least a year and a half. Which makes it all the more crazy what happened to me today.

My girlfriend found all of Wave 11 for me today, after a price adjustment they only rang up at $4 a pop.

When I was back tonight getting the price adjusted, I stopped by the SW section to see if anything else had turned up that day or if there were any army builders worth buying. I grabbed two Endor Rebels and two Naboo troopers, the Endor Rebels came up at $4 each and the Naboo guys came up at full price. So I asked the clerk why the other ones weren't $4 and she didn't understand either. By this time a line was starting to form behind me while she was waiting on her CSM to help her out. The CSM came over and said that I could have all of them for $4 each and walked away. So the cahier continued to ring them up and the total came up to $19 or something, then she all of a sudden said, "Wait, I did that wrong. I rang two up at $5." So she preceded to start voiding them, somehow she ended up taking off all the two $4 figures and the total for all four figures came up to $10 even before tax. She gave me the new total, and I asked if she rang them all up. She said, "Yup, I just voided the other ones." There was a long line behind me and after trying once to do the right thing I was content to walk away with four more figures for $10.80, about the cost of a single figure normally. :)

All told in the last 24 hours I've bought 11 figures for a total of $40.80, including tax. :)

Mon Cal Pilot
General Cracken
Sandstorm Lando
Sandstorm Leia
Jedi Luke'
Two Endor Rebels
Two Rebel Fleet Troopers
Two Naboo Security Troopers

And on top of that my girlfriend's mom bought me another RFT and a Stormtrooper.

All told I've bought at least as many figures at retail in the past 24 hours as I've bought at retail in about the last year... That's pretty crazy.

And in Colorado!  :D  8)

I was able to nab this whole wave today, at $4 a piece. My fiancee went to a Wal-Mart this morning and found an entire case of Wave 11 that had just been stocked as soon as she got to the toy section. They didn't ring up and all and the clerk had to manually enter the price, but she keyed them $8.96 a piece. I took them back tonight, along with two $4 RFT troopers that I bought the night before and after a little sweet talking was able to get the price adjusted on the wave down to $4 each!
