Movie Heroes / Saga Legends '12-? / Disneyland Build-a-Droid on sale
« on: January 26, 2015, 11:15 AM »
Disneyland has the Build-a-Droid sets on sale. You can now build a droid for $9.99 or build three droids for $19.99. Basically build 2 get 1 free.

Well, Disney did kind of bury that one like they did with John Carter. This is pretty typical when there is a change of management.

I stopped at WM today and they must've just put out a case because they had two of the droids, a Malgus, a Starkiller, etc. We got Starkiller for my "son" for Christmas, and so I got Malgus today. Nice looking figure.

I didn't know WM still carried 3 3/4 inch figures. None of mine have shelf space for them and haven't for more than a year.

I see that too. There is no shelf space dedicated to 3 3/4 in figures even the 5pos stuff.

... or the political BS. They are just entertainers. They are no better than the Court Jester entertaining the King and should never be taken seriously on any issue.

$12.99 at Target. No figures on the pegs yet. $9.99 at TRU but they also have no figures.

When I was a kid I had the Vader one. The eyes glow.

All three of these vehicles are in huge supply at Disneyland's Star Trader. I think they are about $5 more than retail.

I can see the Lego movie not being on the list since there is no room. Big Hero 6 will take that award anyway just because it's Disney.

Big Hero 6 - Disney / Pixar slot
How to Train Your Dragon 2 - Dreamworks slot
The Tale of Princess Kaguya - Studio Ghibli slot
The Boxtrolls - Token stop motion or other CG animation company slot
Song of the Sea - Token foreign entry slot

It's a light switch plate. You push R2 to turn the lights on/off. They had a Darth Vader and C-3PO versions.

Does anyone use the web site It tracks prices on Amazon. Just put in the item you want and it will send you alerts when the item goes below your selected price. It will also show a line graph of price changes.

I just used it for H&R Block Deluxe tax software. It is currently at $27.36.

At Disneyland you just get there about five to ten minutes before. The Jedi will ask for volunteers. The kids jump up and down and he randomly picks about thirty kids from the audience. Kids typically range in age from four to nine.

Here is a video of a little girl dressed up as Darth Vader at the Jedi Training Academy. She had some great interaction with the  Stormtroopers and Darth Maul during the show.

I think he just got in his time machine with Yvette Mimieux and is living in the future with the Morlocks.
