Vintage Kenner / Re: Latest vintage acquisition

Very nice looking snowtrooper. Very white.

I had one a vintage open belly taun taun off ebay for $10. What he sent me was a rather nice closed belly taun taun with complete harness and a rebel trooper. Do you think I should complain? The open belly one had a broken harness.

The show isn't designed to have a BSG feel. It's more like was said above as an adventure of the week type thing. They could have stuck this show on a different planet and it would have been the same thing.

So this reboot is going to odd number movies are good while the even number movies are bad? Kind of the opposite of the last ten movies where even number movies are good and odd ones bad. I guess ST: Nemesis messed up the ordering.

How do you cut the POP out with it showing up on the other side?

Dude - if the apocalypse goes down I am TOTALLY picking up an extra couple wives.

Why? They would just gang up on you. One is difficult enough.

SHIELD is a guaranteed hit.  And it's the only show that jumps out at me next season.

I would hate to be the executive that have to cancel this Josh Whedon project. This show looks too expensive to survive with poor ratings.

I've been enjoying Defiance. It's basically a western town show with Star Trek-type aliens. It's really the only sci fi show that SyFy has.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Sequel Trilogy Speculation

I would call a movie based on political disputes over a trade route a poor story.

Seconded, what an abysmal mess that was.

Yet we all loved it and bought every toy related to it.

A scoop of ice cream isn't bad.

I went back last saturday. The general is still there guarding the ice cream.

He looks like a gangster version of Uncle Fester.

Wow! I'm am seriously jelous of the POTF minirigs and the side gunner. I've always wanted that stuff but was never willing to pay the high prices for them. $180 seems like a good deal considering it breaks down to $45 shipped for each item.

The picture of the two seater x-wing was a prototype that Kenner made back in '85 to continue the series around the Clone Wars. I should have finished the project except I ran into a problem trying to fill the holes were the old wing went. I also didn't have a way to really glue them together so they would stay strong.

I was thinking about the box of x-wings you have. A while ago, I started a project to make a two seater x-wing like this prototype. I got fairly far on it. I just couldn't keep it from splitting in half.

Why can't these movies have only one bad guy? Didn't they learn from Spiderman 3?

Over at Disney Hollywood Studios in Orlando they will be doing the Carbon Freeze Me again this year. This is where they 3D scan your face and put it on a Han Solo figure in Carbonite. The experience will also allow you to have your face put on a stormtrooper. If you ever wanted to be a stormtrooper, get down to DHS this summer.

The thing is a frigg'n circus. You can't even get any of the hasbro exclusives without a four day pass and camping out early in the morning. That is just wrong.

I hate the way Hasbro ran their exclusives booth last year. You had to be at their booth at an unannounced 2am to get a ticket to line up to buy from them. Since I'm only there Saturday there is no way I'm going to get a chance to get any exclusives. So I'm pretty much saying F-U Hasbro and your over priced exclusives!
