TV-9D9 / Star Wars parody on Sesame Street
« on: April 29, 2015, 11:20 PM »
Recently was watching Sesame Street and they did a parody of Star Wars. Cookie Monster was Han Solo. Chewbacca was a cookie. Cookie Monster was learning about self control. Anyway, the middle section featured Grover as Yoda (Groda). I hear it was done by Frank Oz.

Watto's Junk Yard / '67 Shelby Cobra found after 45 years
« on: April 29, 2015, 11:00 PM »
The day I was born, my dad when out and bought a '67 Shelby Cobra. He figured my mom was occupied at the moment giving birth and could say no to it. He bought it to work on it and to race it. My first car ride was in that car. About ten months later the car was stolen from our locked garage in board day light. My dad only put on 700 miles in that time since it was always in the shop.
Last month, my dad was at South Coast Corvette talking to the owner of the shop about that Cobra he had 45 years ago. He told him that he had still had the title, registration, vin number and lots of documentation on the car. They decided to look the car up in the Cobra registry just for fun. It turned out the car was in there!!! It seems the car was Carmel, California. The owner of South Coast Corvette has been friends with my dad for almost fifty years and said he would help get the car back. They hired a private investigator to go find the car.
Today, the PI gave my dad a call and said he found the car and will be picking it up next week and bringing it back to the police. We can then pick it up in LA. The story is still unfolding.

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Recents Finds and/or Purchases
« on: April 28, 2015, 12:31 PM » has Sabine, Cikatro and the wookiees for $13.49 each. Unfortunately, since they are not online exclusives, you can not use the 20% code HASBROSW20 that expires May 10th.

That is weird. You know HTS only has one of each item available. Maybe someone bought them all?

I think the hat would look really silly on a 6". I don't think it would fit well without adjustments.

Yes they do. If I remember correctly its about $85. They went up $30 after their initial release. Those can be picked up at the World of Disney outside the parks too.

Here are the droids we made last night.

Yeah, just look at the message from Hasbro at SWCA:

Mission Series -
"Have you seen our great new Ahsoka and Vader?  They're coming Fall 2015! Yay!!!" - Nope and odds are I will never will see it at retail.

Black Series 6" -
"Did you see the Fall 2015 sample package?!  And the prototype 6" Ahsoka coming in 2016!  Black Series is awesome! Yay!!!" - Nope, never will see it at retail either.

Black Series 3.75" -
"We cannot comment on plans for Fall 2015" - I'll be sleeping when you do TRU Midnight Madness.

Yes. The single containers are the only ones they have. They give you a discount of $3.95 when you buy two.

When to Disneyland last night and picked up the droids for those that emailed me.

The Star Trader only had the new sets of parts. The droid bodies are still the BAD sculpts but they removed the lower hole on the side. Also there is now only one leg instead of a left and right version. They removed the wires around the lower leg. This should make it easier for lay people to build a droid without two left legs. Also the hats are brand new. They include a Oswald the Lucky Rabbit hat, sumbraro, imperial officer hat and a regular Mickey hat. I think that was all of them. The old two pack clam shells are gone. They only have the one droid version.

Here is a nice shot of all of them built.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Clegg Holdfast still on the pegs
« on: April 23, 2015, 09:37 AM »
Clegg Holdfast is still at RiteAid for $13.95. There are prices like that on ebay for him. If we wait long enough, that price will look like a bargain.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: The Force Awakens Trailers

Best part about that shot (and so many others) is the only CGI in that shot are the TIE fighters.

Wait a minute, those aren't real TIE fighters? I feel cheated now.

JJ raped my childhood!!
