Anyone get the Winter Festival Max Rebo set yet?

I'm wondering what's behind the figures in the package.

Is it just tan cardboard, or a backdrop of Jabba the Hutts Palace? :-\

I can't tell from the pictures I've seen of it so far.

Most people just make their own like CorranHorn mentioned. Surprisingly, my original foam is still intact.

Whatever you do.  DON"T TOUCH IT!

I touched mine that was still intact and a piece just fell off.  It looked ok, but is really a mushy mess. :-[

I'll probably find some replacement foam at Michaels or somewhere else.  I'd really like to put an R2 in it for display. :D

Anyone need cases for their carded Kubricks?

I've got 2 I'm looking to unload in the classifieds:  Kubrick Carded figure UV guard Acrylic Cases

20

What's a "soft rail"?  Just a little looser fit, or is there really a soft substance attached holding the card in at the rail?

Soft rail is what holds the card in place.
Oscar uses pieces of acrylic while this stuff is clear and soft similar to a wiper blade.
Therefore it's less likely to scratch or damage your card. :P

The case also differs from Oscars since the front piece of acrylic wraps around the sides so you don't have the joint there.

I can take additional pictures if anyone is interested.

Cases are UV guarded & sell new for $25 ea. + shipping from Cloud City where I got them.

They have soft rails inside unlike Oscars cases so they're more gentle on your figures cards.

Cases have been stored inside the bubble wrap since I got them from Cloud City.  Only removed to take the photo's you see.

I paid $60 for them & I'd like to get $35 shipped within the US for them.

I prefer Paypal.

e-mail me with any questions:  artooa6@yahoo.com

figures not included ;)

Will they package it like my vinty set or go with the long box like the Speeder Bike & TRU 5 pack? Thoughts?

That would be sweet if they packaged it like the vintage box.  Just put the Greedo in the lower left corner!

I love these things but they hurt my wallet so bad.

The carded Luke, Droids Boba, Droids R2 & the Holo Leia don't cost any more than the chase figures.

Just close your eyes when you free them from their packaging. ;)

I had my wife open my Luke & Droids R2.  I haven't opened my Holo Leia or Droids Boba yet.

I got a damaged box at a discounted price so I'm opening that one.  I also have a mint one that will stay boxed.

I did the same with the Speederbike set.  I just need to order some of Oscar's cases for them. :P

Illford_Brimley thanks for the great pictures.

Can you tell us if the package is the same size as the Speederbike set?

I'd like to get an acrylic case for mine from Oscar.

Might just make do with a custom for display purposes  :)

I think that's gonna be the route that I take as well, since I'd like to do "carded" and "loose" of all unique figures.  I can handle that with the $75 Droids figures probably, but at $300+, there's no way I'm buying an extra black Sandtrooper to open...

I just pray that they don't make any other rare carded figures that are more unique than the two they've already done (same Fett, easily customized Sandtrooper).

I thought I was the only one who opened his carded figures.

The only carded ones that interest me are the Boba Fett & Luke due to their obvious nod towards the vintage line.

I customized a White Pauldron Sandtrooper to look like the carded version since there is no way I'll pay more than $100 for a single figure.  Carded or otherwise.

So Dan, since I haven't heard of anyone getting an "Oscar case" for the Early Bird set before, how do you plan on doing that?  Just encasing the figures in their white plastic tray, I presume?

That's what I was planning on doing.

I think it will stand upright better in one of Oscars cases.

Does anyone have their carded figures in Oscars cases?
Curious to know what they look like.

I've got some from Cloud City & I'm really not to happy with them.  They are really wide like an AFA graded case & I like the tighter fit.

Long time lurker, first time poster here.  Big Star Wars Kubrick fan!

Anyhow, does anyone know what size the TRU set will be?

I'm ordering some of Oscars cases now for my Early Bird & Speederbike set & would like to order one for the TRU set now as well.
