I'm not really wanting to read into it, but, does the POTA in the new set make the latest 2 disc anniversary set obsolete?

Also, been picking up some..totally..bizarre titles as of late, on a whim, namely because they're cheap. Check it.

I'd try and cancel the POTA set, being that it's the old edition. The new release, with all the movies in Anamorphic widescreen is being released 3/28 for about $37.. Click me..

..or if you've got $125 to blow, there's always this...

Just this afternoon a father in one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Charlotte called 911 (my brother was the dispatcher) and said that he had hurt his twin 5 year old daughters because they were acting up and that he was going to kill himself.

Charlotte is still Charlotte. Not exactly a shining beacon of model citizenship. #53 in murder count in 2003, per 100,000 people in  2003. Having gone to school in Charlotte, and working for the Hornets on occasion, it's a slum outside the industrial district.

I haven't watched the 1982 version yet, and the back of the case had the 2 channel Dolby Surround logo, with the DTS and 5.1 logo's for the SE. I didn't know that the options automatically carried over.

Downside to all of that is that the 1982 theatrical version is in Dolby Surround, which is more or less 2 channel, and a disgrace.

Affirmative. First time I've seen it at a pawn shop, because they usually sell their Disney movies on eBay for ridiculous amounts.

I only deleted it because I linked it in  my signature line. It's easier that way, and I don't have to maintain it on 2 forums.

Going tomorrow as well - with high expectations.

Eli Roth has given me nothing to base ANY expectations on, except that of that he won't give us anything original, which was the case with "Hostel", which I saw this past Monday. Interesting storyline marred with unnecessary and tasteless acts, and an overabundance of needless sex and misogeny.

Bought with profit. Spending habits wouldn't influence my reluctance (or lack thereof) to admit to a difference. I simply don't see one large enough with those examples to go right out and upgrade.

P.S. If I spent a good majority of my money and time on the current DVD format for my cinema addiction, I'd probably be a little reluctant to admit that there was a big difference between HD and DVD, too. . .

I haven't spent a dime of my money on the 40 titles I've bought this year. Even still, it wouldn't lead me to denial. I'm just not impressed.
