Gratuitously large image ahoy.

Michael Robinson’s Old Ben Ale is a malty English-style brew boasting notes of dried fruit, nut, and caramel. A slight bitterness balances the combination of five malts in this full bodied beer. Light brown with reddish highlights and good clarity, the ingredients of this English-style brew are all American with the exception of the yeast which is distinctively English. Created to enjoy on cold nights or as an after dinner treat, Mike’s Old Ale is 9% alcohol by volume, about twice that of the average beer. An experienced homebrewer, Mike was recognized as a finalist in the 2008 Samuel Adams LongShot American Homebrew Contest, as well as in the 2007 Samuel Adams® Patriot Homebrew Contest.

Ben Miller’s Mile High Barley Wine is a dark red, flavorful brew with rich plum undertones to complement its caramel malt flavor. A self-proclaimed ‘hop head,’ Ben used several varieties of citrusy American hops in this beer, creating its resiny aroma followed by clean bitterness. Ben’s Barleywine is his 100th homebrew, brewed to commemorate two years of enjoying the hobby.

Jeremy White, who works in the IT department at Samuel Adams, channeled his love of Belgian beers to create his Lemon Pepper Saison, a classic Belgian-style brew. Jeremy’s flavorful, refreshing and lighter-bodied beer is brewed with Grains of Paradise, an exotic tropical spice also found in Samuel Adams Summer Ale. The peppery flavor is complemented by a slightly sweet aroma with hints of vanilla and citrus, making this beer the perfect cool down to a hot summer day.

Now it's a race to see which gets out of development hell first: this or the Star Wars live-action series.

Yes and I remember having similar thoughts then. :P

So ... white gown Leia, Tatooine Luke, R2-D2, and Chewie. Big ******' whoopy doo. The only thing that remotely appeals is what appears to be a telescoping saber.

Like I said, I think I'm just too young to view this as anything other than a gimmick. Probably when they come out with the orange-card POTF2 replicas in 2015, I'll be all over it. :o

It definitely looks spiffy, yet I can't help but wonder if the hobby is starting to devour its own young, so to speak, when we're at the point of issuing exclusives commemorating 30-year-old packaging errors.

But maybe I'm too young to really get the appeal. POTF2 generation repreezent.

I'll be honest: I HATE HATE HATE this trend of them putting non-TCW EU into the TCW line. If they're not in the show, they need to be slotted into another line, IMO.

Considering that Star Wars: Republic Heroes is a game that bridges Seasons 1 and Seasons 2 of the Clone Wars series, I really don't think it's that big of a deal for a figure like this to come out.

To me, it's a lot less EU than Jacen Solo with snakes wrapped around himself.

I can't help but chortle at the idea of TCW not being considered EU. And trying to partition off anything as "more EU" than a CGI kids' spinoff would have been laughable even two or three years ago.

Not making fun of you, McMetal, just at the way purist definitions of SW have changed so quickly.

Battle Skakoan? I'm on board for that. And holy crap, look at the size of that thing.

I guess the production wasn't big enough for both of those beards.

Hitting all the geek bases here, though not really intentionally.

Well, it's the first two books of basically a four-book arc, and Isard comes into play a lot more directly as they go on. Can't give you much more than that since it's been like ten years since I've read them.

I was thinking we might see it this year for ESB's 30th, but at least we don't have to wait until 2013 for ROTJ's. They do seem to like doing these things in "anniversary" years but I suppose that's what C5 is for.
