"Eeth Koth was killed on Geonosis according to the Power of the Jedi Sourcebook, but he nor his death are shown onscreen during the the battle. It was further confirmed in Inside the Worlds of Attack of the Clones that both Koth and Tarados Gon, a Klatooinian Jedi, died aboard a gunship that was shot down during the Battle of Geonosis. He has been replaced on the Jedi Council by fellow Zabrak, Agen Kolar."

Came with a $1 off EVERY figure you buy on 4/2 coupon. Probably old news, but I think I'll go to Target on 4/2.

Fella over at RS is saying the ROTS figures are going on sale for $4.99 the very next day, for the rest of the week.† Kinda renders the coupon pointless, other than the obvious issue of timing for the "impatient" folks that need to have everything on 4/2 (like me† :P)

It will help me to not feel like I'm in such a rush to get everything at Target on that first day now though, so that's somewhat relieving to know at least...

Then what's the [bleep]ing point of the coupons??? *sigh*

At least now I feel better about not getting a coupon--well, I haven't gotten one yet and my chances are rapidly dwindling.

Deluxe Wave 3:

Clone Troopers
Crab Droid (w/Walking Action, like the CW Spider Droid)
Stass Allie w/Speederbike (not sure if it's a BARC or regular bike)
NEW Spider Droid

Sounds good thus far.

I know it's heresy, but personally I'm hoping it is just the CW set with new heads. Most of mine will just be standing around in diorama fashion, so SA isn't necessary. Plus these are way cheaper.

Rebelscum's latest Q&A tries to answer the issue, and only manages to confuse me further.

Are the ROTS Clone Trooper multi packs a for sure thing or still only a rumor? If they going to be made will they be more like the Clone Wars multi packs or the current articulated ones?

Yes, they are a ďfor sureĒ thing and will be the Super Articulated version. At this point itís a shame they wonít be the new Episode III Clones, but at least itís something.

I don't even understand what they're talking about here. So they're SA with AOTC helmets rather than ROTS but .... 3-packs or 4? Exclusive or non?† ???

Too many damn multipacks.

I have no idea what Eeth Koth was up to.

I believe he was present (offscreen) at Geonosis and was killed there.

The interesting thing is that you can tell when Saesee Tiin is being played by different people too - which is a disappointment. I'm glad that George has at least been consistent with Ki Adi Mundi and having Silas Carson play him throughout.

Same here. Probably it's because Ki is the only Councilor extra who has any lines. Plus, Carson was already on hand playing Nute Gunray.

Whoops--I missed the part of your post indicating these were actually coming. I thought it was just spec.

I already have at least two Mauls, and soon the ROTS Dooku. Not worth getting the 3-pack just for Sid, unless he's something special like the aforementioned Holo version.

I'm actually slightly relieved that it's not until the 10th -- one less thing to worry about on the 2nd. Besides, I'll have no problem finding something else to drop $25 on.

What new bull**** is this??? I'll pass, thank you very much.

I'm only budgeting $30-40 for the weekend.

So I'm a poor college student. I need to save some for the books to buy at the Matt Stover signing, for stuff to buy at Celebration III, and so on. But rest assured I'll be diligently plugging away all summer in $10 - 20 increments. ;)

Valin = two Expanded Universe characters: Valin Halcyon (better known as Hal Horn), and Valin Horn, his grandson.

Kenobi = well DUH. ;D

This handle originated at the message boards (I was HuttLord from April 2002 to about August 2002, and Valin since then). I use it at a number of message boards:,, TF.N, etc.

Hey, glad to hear you guys like our site. :)

I don't normally read any of the novels (not since the days of Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy - good stuff).  Are there any Clone Wars novels that people have read that have impressed them?

Typically the consensus favorites are Shatterpoint, Hard Contact, and Dark Rendezvous.

My personal Top 3 are 1) Dark Rendezvous, 2) Labyrinth of Evil, 3) Shatterpoint.

Pete Fett, I was thinking that 4/2 might hold some Clone Wars surprises also. It would be great, but, honestly, when was the last time new product appeared on the pegs before it showed up online?

Oh totally - that's why I think that any plans to have another wave of animated figures has been scrapped.

Unless they plan on having the figures come out at the same time the Volume 2 DVD is released. My guess is that it will be released sometime between now and the DVD release of ROTS so perhaps there are plans for more figures this summer.

You're probably right about the timing there, Pete. While I'd love to see them sooner, I'm not bummed because there's way more than enough to keep us busy until then.

The way my monetary situation looks right now, on 4/2 I won't buy more than a half-dozen figures and maybe one or two deluxe. So "not knowing where to begin" won't be a huge issue.

In a way it's too bad I can't start off with a spectacular blaze of sound and fury like I'd hoped -- but on the other hand it prolongs the fun to acquire them in bits and pieces through the spring and summer ... and fall ... and winter ... and following spring ... and summer ... and then on 75% off clearance ... and so on.
