That is a great quote! I love the idea of frantic keyboard pounding, blood pressures rising, and the general insanity that goes with us taking these things remotely seriously- A geeky uproar strikes fear in the heart of the establishment!
I'll decide whether or not he is an officers after I find out how much I have to pay. Maybe it will be easier to take the beating if I can claim he is at least ranked, badges be damned!

« on: January 27, 2012, 12:41 PM »I think they are saying that they opened a case and found this chase. They listed it as 1:48 because they opened 4 boxes. There's likely another case with a different chase in one of the 4 boxes, just like all the other deluxe releases.
I think it is just mislabed as 1:48 when it technically should be 1:96.I believe they are Imperial Technicians and can be seen in the first few scenes of ROTJ where Vader's ship is arriving in the control room...also note the Imperial Logos on the shoulders
Hasbro made this figure back in POTJ
Hasbro called this figure "Imperial Officer" not Imperial Technician. Officer is a generic term for any number of ranks, including a commander. I'm sticking with IMPERIAL COMMANDER.

Maybe it is from the 3D release, and will be from a yet to be revealed new addition to the film, with all the imperial troops wearing gray kilts.

I would love to see what a Hasbro BMF sailbarge would look like to wrap up the line (if I am still in it then), but they will probably bring back the shuttle- it is pretty ROTJ specific.

Wow, it sounds like a amazing item. I can't see getting it myself, unless it goes crazy clearance like the shuttle did. While it will have a lot of buzz going for it with the movie out, it is still a big rounded brown terd that carries nameless battle droids...
As a star wars geek, I can see wanting one, but as a parent looking for something cool for $100 or more, I'm not sure this thing has much curb appeal. the turbo tank looked like a monster truck, the AT-AT is a mechanized dino, and the Falcon is the Falcon. This one needs spinning rims, air shocks, and a subwoofer to be cool.

I've seen these back at full price even at the Targets that did clearance them out a couple of week ago. Kind of like the hostage crisis/hidden enemy battle packs that re-appeared at full price post clearance.
At this rate, we should be seeing tauntauns and landspeeders again soon too, at $24.99 or higher...

Have not seen any efforts on the part of Target to clearance existing stock ala Walmart, so I guess they will be carrying both line looks for ahwile? (Like TRU seems to be doing)
Kind of a bummer, in that I still have a few extras from the last 3 waves of TCW figures I was considering returning, but no current receipts. Off to eBay I guess...
That's too bad if it turns out to be true-
I would guess the same will be true for MH versus legends as well.
