If they aren't coming until January, it doesn't seem like anything that was headed to Celebration 6 and got relocated.

This has the potential to be another Renz, or it could be great. Of course if it does great, they can always hold some back and slowly sell them for $40-$50 on the bay...

I agree it is definately a test. They are clearly not making the run until they know how many units to make, with the February delivery date.

I also wouldn't mind a niche collecting outlet for unique figures that may not do well at mass retail. But this is a tough way to to start.

For all the talk of keeping overall costs of the line down with re-issues, re-used parts, and decreasing pieces per unit (less articulation), this is a complete 180. Unique sculpt. Unique accessories. Unique package.

I just think this needed to be a Hasbro store item, with a price point of $19.99 or less.

I noticed it describes the product as coming in a vintage style box- Maybe she is carded, but within a box type package to accomodate the Dooku dookie.

$24.99. They can charge $24.99 for an elderly librarian. I'm nearly speechless. If this were TRU or Target, there would be widespread wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Cool info over at the yakface front page about snaggletooth having a back-belt holster and the gonk opening up to reveal the insides.

Medicom has never released a single figure by itself that wasn't carded. My guess would be it is a placeholder for something that wasn't ready yet, like maybe a 400% version. That would still be lame, but slightly less so.

How did you end up with an extra set of these?  I sense a drunken Ebay story coming our way...  ;)

I've been guilty of buying up lots, and keeping the army buillders. I decided not to army build the vinty TIE pilot, but I was tempted. Plus you only need so many skiff Lando's in the display....

Thanks for the purchase Deacon, hope you enjoy red Fett!

ho, meet hum. I suppose it is better than a super desirable character that would become prohibitively expensive. It seems we should be getting an update by the end of June if a December release is planned.

Ryan, if you are looking for the person who jinxed you on the postcard, here he is...

I haven't heard of anyone not getting a Fett, or getting one of the dreaded "unavailble" post cards that have been part of some mail-aways.

I'm afraid he's right! I expect I'll be getting post cards instead of Fetts today  :P

But I am very glad Hasbro is going to deliver- I remember this happening with my Sgt Bric as well. They may be making some odd decisions with the lines, but at least they stand behind the mail away.

Edit: post card arrived!Great condition too...

Dewback kibbles and bits...

I don't think the grunts were going to know much- it's not their job, and would be a liability. Vader, Tarkin, and the Emperor don't seem like a trio likely to bother with running prisons, especially when the people in it are officially "dead" in the senate records.

The MTT is looking like a tougher sell as the year goes along. This may end up at TRU and on-line, with big box saying no-thanks. That's just a wild guess, not based on any information anyplace-

The other problem is the combination of high price, low cool factor, and weak movie released at a down time for retail sales may make future BMF vehicles for the 3D releases less likely. I think the re-paint of the sweet slave-1 is a given at some point, but sure would have liked to have seen a stab at a decent size sail barge.

The lack of OT ships of any sort on the shelves for such a long spell is still surprising me.
