Toy Reviews / Yoda (Clone Wars)
« on: September 30, 2003, 08:25 PM »
How many Yoda's have been made now?  I don't remember how many, but this is definitely one of my favorite Yoda's that has been done so far.  He's been nicknamed the "Bandito" for obvious reasons (he's wearing a white poncho-like piece of clothing), but he looks great to me.  He comes with his green lightsaber which fits nicely in his left hand, and he also comes with a hover chair.  The hover chair is a very nice addition to this figure, but the flaps that open come off and close easily.

Overall, I am very impressed with this figure.

Rating = B+

Check out pictures of him and his hover chair here.

Just picked up one of these today for $49.97 at my local TRU.  Weren't these something like $99 at one point in time?  I'm a happy camper!   ;D

Modern Trading / Have Screen Scenes for Trade!
« on: September 23, 2003, 11:51 PM »
I have the Geonosian War Room and Jedi Council (both 2 of 2) available for immediate trade.  I have taken pictures of both, and you can view them HERE.  The Geonosian War Room has a dent in the bubble, but the Jedi Council is mint.  I'd prefer to do a trade for these, so please check out my TRADE LIST.

Thanks!   8)

Saga '02-'04 / Yaddle from Screen Scene
« on: September 23, 2003, 11:45 PM »
Just thought this was kind of interesting...

Here Yaddle has holes on the bottom of her feet, which is the standard for almost all Star Wars figures.

The back of the Screen Scene shows Yaddle with NO holes in her feet.

Toy Reviews / CW Clone Trooper Blue Lieutenant
« on: September 23, 2003, 02:09 PM »
A lot of Clone Troopers have been made, but this one has to be my favorite so far.  Yes, he is the same as the White Clone Trooper that is included in the 3-pack, but it's about time that Hasbro made a Clone Trooper with the blue ranking on it.  I've always been a huge fan of these Clone Trooper 3-packs, mostly because they're great figures.  I like how the gun is molded into the figure's hand, so he can never drop it like on the standard Saga version (which don't sit well in their hands).  These Clone Troopers in the 3-packs have wrist articulation in the hands that hold their weapons, which is a nice little touch for a value-type figure.

I can never get enough Clone Troopers, so I hope Hasbro keeps them coming.

Take a look at what I acquired this weekend (CLICK HERE)!  One of my brother's friends gave this piece to me, and I would love to learn more about it.  This friend of my brother's couldn't remember exactly where he got this, so if you know anything about this item please reply here.  Thanks!

Anyone watch this?  I just saw it for the first time, and am pretty disappointed with it.  Not funny at all.

Toy Reviews / Wat Tambor
« on: September 21, 2003, 05:12 PM »
Wat Tambor, what a great figure this turned out to be!  After a long wait I finally acquired one (thanks to my wife), and I must say the wait was well worth it.  The details of this figure are incredible!  The colors are done well, but I'm curious why Hasbro didn't use the correct color for his chest plate.  In the movie his chest plate was a shiny gray/silver color, but the color on the figure is more of a dull gold color.  That really doesn't bother me too much, because the rest of him turned out great!  I even like the computer terminal that comes with him.  It's a nice add-on to the figure.

Toy Reviews / Chewbacca Mynock Hunt
« on: September 21, 2003, 04:23 PM »
Hasbro has done another wonderful job making yet another Chewbacca figure, and this one is awesome!  The details are amazing, the crossbow is probably one of the best ones yet made, and the Mynock has incredible detail (it even sticks well to glass surfaces).  Some people have complained about his head not having any articulation, but who cares?  It's just a figure and it's Chewie.  To me, this figure rocks!

Found this over at thejawa.com, and check out the price tag on this thing!  It sold for $1,000 and 26 people bidded on it.  It is an impressive piece, but I don't know about that kind of price though.   :o

Anyone here collect Star Wars lighters?  Here's an auction I just found on eBay, and these are pretty cool.  Too bad I don't smoke... I wouldn't get any use out of these.   :P

Watto's Junk Yard / Allergies... Who Has Them?
« on: September 19, 2003, 06:38 PM »
Who here has bad allergies?  Do you have them all year long or are they just seasonal?

I have the worst allergies.  Mine are primarily seasonal, and right now the mold, pollen, weed, and grass counts here in Chicago are at their highest peaks.  I have been so miserable the last couple weeks because of it.  I've been taken Zyrtec and Singulair which do work, but when it's that bad outside nothing will completely help me out.

So, if you have allergies, what medicine do you use?  Any techniques that help you throughout your days and nights?

Watto's Junk Yard / "Office Space"
« on: September 19, 2003, 12:50 AM »
Is this not one of the best movies ever made?  Everything about it is so true to real life, that it's not even funny.  I watch this as often as I possibly can.  I think I've seen it about 30 times now.
