The Wookiee Arcade / Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic

I wish I had gotten a BETA, but I guess getting Alpha and Beta of Battlefield 3 was all my luck. I'm still pretty skeptical about this game, glad some folks enjoyed the mess out of it!

That's a beautiful piece. Kind of regret not ordering.

Yeah, Rex, Bly, Gree - those I do like the looks of. It is just a slippery damned slope. If I get a commander, he needs two troopers behind him.

Greeata (POTF2/TAC)
Rodian Jedi (Jedi Knight Army Multipack - Clone Wars 2003)
Doda Bodonawieedo (POTF2/TAC)
Pax Bonkik #54 (TAC)
Rodian Jedi (TLC 2010 Target Exclusive Geonosis Arena 2-pack)

Wasn't there also a Rodian in the SE Max Rebo Band? Part of a two-pack, wasn't it? He had a clarinet. Or is that one of these listed?

I like the paint scheme, I won't lie... But I decided a while back to stick with OT troopers. So far, pretty easy - we've had every flavor of Clone but not a scout, snowtrooper, tie pilot on the horizon.

Looks like Chukha-Trok is slated for 2012, I hope it happens!

I'd buy it.  >:(

McCarthy has such an amazing literary voice, and he is quickly becoming my favorite author. The Road is probably my favorite book. I wouldn't mind see some quotation marks in his books though. Does anyone here know why he doesn't use them?

I suppose he would have the reader wonder how much is actually spoken aloud, versus thought to oneself. In Blood Meridian, The Road, and Suttree, this is particularly effective, I think, because the characters are withdrawn/mysterious/aloof/etc.

I'd forgotten about all this stuff...  It makes me laugh as any of it gets brought back up like something you just couldn't digest fully.  All the Greg(g) stuff, Bertha...  I bet she's still around, and I bet not one thing has changed.

I'm having so many blue/brown coat flashbacks too.  That was epic.  Fleet Trooper debating...  For me that was epic.  Good times since it made you realize, "This is so dumb, I'm going to just walk away from it".

It still amazes me though, all the problems they can't wrangle in, and they are more agitated with the people who question their authority/reasoning...  Don't sweat the big ****, let's just worry about the guys that ask too many questions.

My best memories are of the really super defensive fanboys of characters that weren't even remotely interesting. Jango Fett, Trebor Coleman, etc. The rage quitting and crybaby antics when they realized ICMG and Lobot's Duplex, etc., were parodies of them, CLASSIC!

I still have a perfect mental image of that art or science project Greg(g) made. Also his mustache. And Bertha's mustache, too.

Was somehow able to grab a set of these limited edition silk-screens by Mondo. The artist is Ken Taylor. 8 to 10 color silk-screened prints, 12" x 36"... thought I'd share.

Reading Titus Livy's massive History Of Rome collection. I'm finally at The War With Hannibal (Volumes 21-30). Not bad for a book written in 45 BC and translated to English over fifty years ago.
