Watto's Junk Yard / Re: A Game of Thrones (HBO)

I LOVE that I don't know what's coming and that no one is safe - except Tyrion and Arya - I want to know that they will always be safe  ;)

I'd love to think that about a lot of characters, but after reading the books, I try not to get too attached to characters now, because like life anything can happen...  not saying anything about Tyrion and Arya... just in general.

Just like pretty much everyone in the story has a good side and a dark side... there are a few exceptions to this being that a character's time in the story is limited so they come off one-sided, so to speak.

Tyrion's expression as the Red Viper makes it personal is priceless.

I finally saw "The Desolation of Smaug" or "The Desolation of Peter Jackson" last night.  I was underwhelmed and I think it's because PJ is bringing too much into the movie that wasn't in the book.  To be fair, it's his adaptation, but it was horrible in my opinion.  Too much orc chasing, too much love story that felt shoved in there for a romance angle.  With all the extra parts with Gandalf were cool, but I felt a little out of place time-wise.  It seems that Sauron already has an orc-army at the ready and is marching out to take over Middle-Earth.  And the summoning of the Nazgul as well.  I had thought that quite a few number of years passed between the Hobbit and LotR and in that time Sauron was amassing his army.  It almost seems that some of these scenes should be an epilogue....

Being a Rangers fan, I'm not giving up now.  Rangers in whatever it takes (at least 4).

I'm rooting for the 'Hawks in this series.  My brother's a fan and I'm trying to get him to splurge for Cup tickets so we can root for opposite teams.

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Black Series Rumors

I wonder with Disney's purchase if we can finally get the Tonnika Sisters.  I mean, they can't complain that they are "Star Whores"... they made a movie called "Pretty Woman" under one of their studios.

Cantina and Jabba's Palace sound very interesting.  Surprised that Hasbro doesn't do a BP similar to the Battle of Endor one, except do the Scout in Hoth colors and throw in snowtroopers, AT-AT Commanders, some rebels troops and commanders.

How is everyone displaying their figures?  Are you buying 6" stands?  If so, which work (and do they work with the SW 6" figures?)  Just worried that the part that holds the scabbard on The Hound will break if he falls.

I just did so and was going to post this.

Yeah, Ned's likeness if very good on the ones I've seen.  It's just his hair has highlights.  But, yeah, it'd be cool if he had the heavy cloak.  Anyone have problems with parts breaking?

After seeing these in person a few times, I decided to pick some up.  So far I've got the Hound, Danaerys, and Tyrion.  Need to get Jon and Ned and unsure of the White Walker yet.  I hope we get a Tyrion in casual attire since he rarely wears armor.

I guess we've got until August(ish) before wave two.  I'm surprised we're getting another Dany already (I know she changes clothes) and the fact there's a lot of females in there (not complaining).  Hopefully wave three will have Tywin, Cersei, Theon, Hodor, Bran, Catelyn... or Joff or Sansa though they like to spread it across houses, so there might be Viserys or some Tyrells, Martells, the Mountain.

So whats with the same guy running the Playground as he did in the other hidden bunker? Is he a clone or medical hologram-type guy or just some alien?

I wonder if he's just simply a twin.

Esh!  The Rangers looked normal after their 3 game slide.  That game 2 was rough to watch. No offense at all.  Skate down and shot from afar.  But they've turned it around  and hopefully that's the end of their power play goal drought.

Nice to see the Wild turning it around.  Watched part of it.
