The Legacy Collection / Re: 2008/2009 Evolutions Sets
« on: July 7, 2009, 01:03 PM »
If they are going to keep giving us new pilot characters we've never had before It's hard to complain about it being a reused body in my opinion.

I agree, Nick. I am all for new pilots (especially from the movies), and if they use existing sculpts for background pilots, I'm fine with that. I'm not a huge stickler for movie-correct detailed or lack of articulation figures for background characters

The new slave Leia looks good.  I can't wait to see more pics of the production figure with her accessories.

It's a good thing the OoC thread is closed.  ;D Nice looks on the Ewok!

Kal Fas is one I bet. Not sure on the second. Mosep or Baniss?

Announcements / Re: JD 2009 Loot Giveaway #1 - Joker Squad!
« on: June 29, 2009, 04:11 PM »
As it happens every so often with our give-aways, there were an unusually large number (300+) of fraudulent entries this time around and it is taking much longer than I wanted to go through them all to verify the valid entries.

Man, that stinks for you guys. Do something nice and people try to take advantage.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Official Movie Thread

I think efranks is right about New Moon being a sleeper for the year.  My wife is way into the books/first movie, and that fanbase in general is pretty enthusiastic.  I don't think its going to crack the top three, but top 5 is a distinct possibility.

Well, if they read the whole series, then I can't believe people would put too much into anything Twilight-related. The first movie/book were great, but overall that was the worst series ever.

I thought they were all interesting. And the millions of others who read all the books probably agree on some level too.

Did you read "Breaking Dawn"? Worst. End. Ever. So many plot holes, a cop out by the author.... Horrible! (and I'm not the only one who's said this. Several teen librarians that I work with were also appalled by it. (But this belongs in the books thread).

Thanks (I think) to Dan for some cool 'bricks that I've been tempted by... and also for the extras as well! More than we had bargained for! It was good to see you again at the meeting!

Mike took quite a few figure boxes off my hands! Thanks!

Now, our next transaction will be a bit bigger. I'm sure we could work some trades as well!
