Do 'em both, I say!

Now, now. Let's keep this family-oriented...  ;)

Hmm, recurring theme here. Good rock/alternative stations converting to country. *Place retching emoticon here*

When I lived in Iowa that happened alot. Soon I didn't have any access to any good music except for Alternative Nation on MTV... and that was when that was good... when they actually had Headbangers Ball with Adam Curry.

Still snowing. ::)

You, too! I think we've had about 4" when I shoveled in the morning, 2" before leaving to work... I hate to think what it is now.

I had started collecting certain figures carded from time to time. The temptation to open such figures that I never had as a kid was too great and I started opening. I do keep the cards to store figures in in the case of moving but these figures are made to breath and posed... 30AC figures especially!

I'm not falling for it again, despite the gold coins... and I love the coins bit. The only UGH figures I'll buy are to help out my fellow TC JDers.

I hate it when they put exclusive figures with vehicles. Just gouging people to buy the same vehicle with a figure we don't have yet. >:( Just sell the figure carded.

You chose poorly.

Yeah, this season isn't the best one.

I know Jack works for CTU, but maybe somewhere along the line he could get demoted/promoted to kill a different kind of bad guy (outside of terrorists).

Is Jack actually back on the CTU roster now or is he "rogue" and granted special status?

You don't happen to work for American Councils or IREX, do you?  I'm just curious.  Glad to meet someone else who understands the charm of Siberia.

I did. Several years back. My wife's Russian, too, so I'm over in the RFE quite a bit.

Seems like we got closer to 12". I shoveled the drive yesterday, but our neighbor came over this morning to blow it.

No way, Blimpy! I actually worked in Vladivostok for 2 years and for my job I traveled about the Russian Far East and central Siberia... Irkutsk being one of the cities. I was as far north as Yakutsk and Kamchatka! But, I agree the RFE is very beautiful area and the sea is nice to be by, even though it doesn't have the economic impact as Moscow does (which Russian city does, actually  ::)).

I have a bad feeling heroin isn't the only thing they're "getting" from those used needles.

Yeah, the AIDS explosion is horrible over there.  :(

To keep on topic, I'll tell a related "It's a small world" story. When I was in Pavlovsk (a city not far from St. Petersburg) I was walking through the square when I saw a girl taking her photo by a monument there. She looked familiar and I couldn't place it at first. Then she saw me and had the look of familiarity, too. So we talked and figured out that she was one of the finalists from Magadan that I had sent to the US to study when I was working in Vladivostok. That was really shocking.

Flembar,

Remember, it's top 10 lists for this thread...  The lists get tallied and turned into Hasbro at the next opportunity.  That's Scott's whole deal for doing this.  So dig up a top 10 list.

Rash has one already, Jesse. I can understand that it's hard to come up with just 10!! I had to go back and revise mine after consideration.

That sleet we got overnight sounded like someone throwing sand at the window for 6 hours straight. It is a b**** to get off the driveway as well. Looking at the radar, the snow should start anytime, with 10-12 on the way. Maybe the kids will get to go sledding again after all.

we got a bit of sleet, too, but there's just a light dusting on the drive at the moment. Are we just going to get dumped on??

Summer after my sophomore year in college (2002) I spent the summer in St. Petersburg, R

That's cool! I was there in college too studying Russia back in 95. St. Pete's is a beautiful city!
What were you doing there? The last time I was there was August 03 chaperoning a group of high schoolers. The city had changed so much... a lot of lights on Nevskiy prospekt now. Not sure if it's a good thing though.
