Found 2 Ozzie Gold Glove variants today at TRU. I don't collect these, but since knashdx does and he's a displaced Cards fan in the Twin Cities, I figured I would nab him one. Probably will give the other one to one of my siblings who're Cards fan, too.

refuse to click on the link to find out.

Do it... you know you want to.  ;)

Just teasing. Enjoy being spoiler-free.

I also liked the last part in the show about the son who steps out from his father's shadow can be a powerful ally....

expect some sparks to fly between Lee and Bill.

Finally caught myself up with last weekends episode. That one's pretty good. Dealt with the issues I thought they should have finished up with on Maelstrom concerning Kara's death... made it a bit funny about how she thought Adama was like a father to her and the uncanny resemblance with the 'stache and glasses. It was slow enough to deal with those issues while starting to gear up toward the finale and Baltar's trial. Plus, I liked the addition of Mark Sheppard as Romo Lampkin. Loved him as Badger on Firefly, so it's good to see him on BSG.

I gave up on AI just because it's become a popularity contest and not a talent contest. And then most of the people that win that thing are never going to be super-successful anyway.

Oh totally, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood haven't been able to earn two blessed nickels to rub together.

Guess you didn't read where I wrote most in that post, didja?  ;)

The VTSC was way easier to find in any quantity I wanted it than the VOTC.  I guess Hasbro is reverting back to the VOTC numbers now.

Well, since they were UGH, they should have been. And since these TAC ones would be, too... I guess I don't try to second guess Big H's rationale.

Actually, don't you get a half a drum piece according to the Big H's recent Q&A?  So if you want a full drum, you have to buy 2 and can snap the drum pieces together. ::)

Still, I think it has a lot to do with meeting the right redshirt. Sometimes you'll find one that'll help you and others that won't or flat out lie.

When looking for the first wave of each line over the past bunch of years including SAGA, OTC, EI, SAGA2, I have heard each time from a Walmart employee or a Target employee that "The line has been discontinued".  Why?  Because they didn't want to be bothered.

Pretty helpful employees that want to help their company succeed.  ::) Blatant lying is not the way to go though. But still, I'm sure these employees see adult SW collectors and think scalper or something. I know from working at a TRU that some employees are unwilling to help those people or will purposely bend a card as they scan an item. That bugs me if some employee assumes you are going to turn around and scalp these when you took the time to pick the nicest card (if you're a carded collector).

Voter atrocities?  There's a 2000 election joke to be made in there somewhere, but instead I'll just concur that American Idol is for dipshits.

That joke Ellen made at the Oscars was pretty good... and had American Idol reference, too.

"Jennifer Hudson doesn't get America's votes and doesn't win the nomination on American Idol. Al Gore gets America's votes, but not the nomination." Something like that.... better when Ellen told it.

I gave up on AI just because it's become a popularity contest and not a talent contest. And then most of the people that win that thing are never going to be super-successful anyway.

That is some awesome work. Great eye for detail there, Daigo-bah!

I really don't understand what Target's idea is with the street date. It's written nowhere on the box that they're to be held in back until that date. It's their own date I suppose... maybe when they redo the action figure section.

Still, I think it has a lot to do with meeting the right redshirt. Sometimes you'll find one that'll help you and others that won't or flat out lie. I figure they'd want to sell goods now, not later when these are being put on pegs slowly at other Targets, TRUs, and now WMs.

Now, if Hasbro can 'remember' to include the poncho with the concept Fett. That'd be cool, too!

Any one hear anything about the variant coins?

Do you mean the UGH gold coins? What specifically?
