Yeah, I pay attention to shipping costs, too... and not just on ebay.  I used to work at a place where I shipped goods and I couldn't believe how much they were making on shipping... $3-6 on every order.  Not a lot but it adds up in the long run.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Didn't she say she's never seen the Star Wars movies before?  BFD is what I say.  She might not be into that kind of thing... but if her co-star is cast and she's happy about it, then great... it even sounds like she might watch the other 6 movies to know the story when she watches E7.  Maybe she'll be come a fan, maybe not, but it sounds like she'll give them a try.

I believe you could be right, Nick, though it would be a 'reimagining' of the story's description.  I can't believe these trailers seem to have spoilers across them.  I guess Arya's prayer includes Melissandre?  Not sure why... I've still got to catch up on Season 3, though so maybe the answer's there?  Plus, I'm curious about a kiss in there... I know who the man is, but I must be mistaken about the woman, but maybe her profile is similar to another character's?

So I was determined to get tickets to see the Allmans during their month-long residency at one of the best venues in New York.

Love the Beacon.

What if The Ghost is both?  A Rebels ship AND an Ep7 ship.

Thought about that the other day... based on the era of the show, it wouldn't be impossible for The Ghost to be around in Ep7... or any of the Rebels crew for that matter.  Even something as simple as the same ship type/class showing up in both.  Help it sell both ways - cartoon and movie.   ;D

Yeah I was thinking the same thing:  that maybe the Inquisitor could be the bad guy... or that there is overlap between Rebels and E7.

So yeah - the idea that Black Widow could be black is patently ridiculous.  That is unless you're ragingly ignorant.

But what about Asian-Russian?  As I said, there are many ethnic groups in Russia, not just European ones.  Buryats, Yakuts, etc.  Trust me, I worked in Russia and I have seen all kinds of Russians in my time... so while there may not be overall acceptance of colored people, I'm sure the people would be of a black super spy as a hero.  I mean, wouldn't that be unexpected to find a black person was a spy for Russia/Soviet Union?  If I were Putin, I'd have already explored that route.

Black widow is Russian, thus white.

Actually, Russians can be of various descents.  There are black-skinned Russians (quite a minority, but there still are) and there are many Russians of Korean and Mongolian decent along with some Eskimo-type tribes in the north-east.  Don't forget the ones in the south that might have some darker skin being close to Afghanistan, Georgia, Armenia, etc.  To say that all Russians are white (you didn't but inferred it with Black Widow is white because she's Russian), is totally wrong.

If Jabba can't come with a dais at retail, it's going to hurt with all that open space in the box.  If anything, throw in Salacious Crumb and/or Oola.  The Speederbike definitely looks like you'd get more for your money than Jabba.  It would have been nice to have Jabba a bit more SA, too so that he isn't always in a 'sitting' position and you could have his tail behind him as if he were moving around like in ANH.  At least that's what I noticed by glancing at the photo... I could be wrong.

I wonder how the next round of polls will go?  With Hasbro being told no more EU from LFL, and focusing more on OT than PT, will that change things here?  We'll be adding a 'Rebels' category at some point, of course.  Maybe we could vote your top 5 per prequel films, 10 for 'Rebels' and 15 per OT, with the usual ToC.  This is Scott's baby, but just an idea I'm throwing out.

Thanks, Jeff and Scott for doing this.  This is one of the fun things I like to do here and I like to see who is interested in what.  Next time is going to be really different since EU and Clone Wars is pretty much 'retired' and PT is on the back-burner.  But I guess we'll have a new category with Rebels.

Meet "Feisty" Sabine

Don't you feel the need to include a feline "Raaarrr" (purr/roar) after reading that?

It took me like 3 years to read a book about trench warfare.  I'm great at walking away from a book and coming back to it.  :-[

The book was like trench warfare, eh?  Lots of fighting, losing your spot, regaining, gassing, until you finally vanquish your foe.  :-p

I'm going with reading but slowly so I don't leapfrog the show.  I'm doing the same with Game of Thrones.  Even if stuff doesn't line perfectly between the two I still prefer to be behind on the reading.

That'll be tough with GoT, Jesse.  Once you're done with Book 3 and Season 4, the next two books are essentially one book split into two and the characters are divided geographically.
