Don't know what to think about the Rangers' gains and losses... I don't know any of the new people, but losing Boyle, Strahlman and Pouliot is rough.  Beniot was awesome on his line with Zucc, (and it was the most productive line this season) but I guess that's over now.  Boyle was great on face-offs (though pretty tough to do against the Kings) and even though he wasn't a huge scorer, his presence on the ice was noticeable.

In the business of hockey (not the sport), I think the Rangers are a fraction of the players that are on the team now than when I fell in love with them.  I mean, I was a casual Wild fan while living in Mn, but after seeing the Rangers play, it was like a whole different world of playing... no offense, Jeff.  I still consider them a home team, so I'll root for them no matter what.

The only difference I know of between ESB and RotJ Fett are the colors on the gauntlets.  In Jedi one is red instead of the green/blue color.  There are probably more though.

If they are having to halt stuff around Ford's injury, then it means we get a lot of Solo in the movie.

I thought I read that there were going to be sequels a long time ago... or maybe it was just left open by the movie ending.  So it's official now?  Cool.

Will be interesting to see what the Rangers do.  They bought out Richards' contract to free up money... I guess that was coming since rumors were going last season (which he had a poor year), but he turned it around this year.  Sad to see him go, but will see if they get anyone(s) interesting out of it.  I think there are some re-signs possible, but we'll see. Sather has dismantled most of the team that was there when I was living in NYC in 3 years time.

I like the picture of the Kubrick bent over on the back of the card.  Is that how you collectors are feeling about SW Kubricks right now?

I posted this on the yak forum, but I wonder what it all means?  Too many Fetts (throw in Carbonite Han, please)?  Not enough interest?  The end of the line?  A re-do?

After reading Jeff's posted link, it's hard to know what's up for a certain couple characters and differences from the book.

Dismal case ratio but almost makes me wonder if a revision case isn't in the works?  The repacked TVC are dropped...  It's all very fishy.

I wonder if this is a part of Disney directive to put the Eu and PT on the back burner.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The "Space" Issue
« on: June 11, 2014, 11:07 AM »
Yeah, I've got space issues.  My Billy cabinet is pretty full and I've included some ships in there and that has taken most of the space that I only display OT stuff.  I'd like to get another cabinet, but I don't see where I'd display it here.  I do need to go through some of my old figures and weed them out.  I guess I wish I knew which figure was the best (definitive) so I didn't have to go through each box and find all the Lukes or Obi-Wans, etc... Or Stormtroopers, even.  That way I don't get rid of the best Stormie out there.  I suppose it would be easy to just go with what feels good by me.  Anyway, another project for another day.

That game 2 loss was tough... especially since that goalie interference no-call really changed the moment of the game.  Or maybe I don't understand goalie interference because I see the Rangers called for it a lot and then when I see other teams do the exact thing there is no call.

In my opinion if player A shoves player B into team A's goalie, the penalty shouldn't be on team B... I think it's a dick move to get the call, but player A is gambling that he doesn't injure his goalie in that play.  Maybe I'm wrong... I probably need to brush up on the unofficial NHL rule book that is being used.

That said, Rangers did okay last night, just they couldn't get anything past Quick... so props to him.

Saw this on the Internets.... donate some money and you could have a character named after you and in a very GoT-themed way... murdered.

Disagree.  Qui-Gon was a father figure for Anakin.  If we learned anything about Anakin's journey, it's that he suffers continued loss.  His first loss is leaving home, albeit as a freed slave.  But then he loses his mentor, Qui-Gon, when he is killed by Darth Maul.

Meh...how long did Anakin know Qui-Gon?  I get the father figure concept, but can you really count a guy who was in your life for maybe a week as a father figure?

I'd say he made a better one than Watto.  ;)  But I think that was what Qui-Gon's role in the saga was to be- the father figure, but I get what you're saying.  Still, look at all the things Qui-Gon did for him, freed him, fought for him to be in the order, believed in him... it may have been enough to have that impact on Anakin.  Of course, the other father-figure perversed that training.
