Other Toy Lines / Re: ReAction Lines
« on: July 30, 2015, 12:01 PM »
(Bill and Ted is canceled).

Bogus! :(

Heinous!  Most non-triumphant.

No Firefly Series 2?  I assume ReAction, and not Legacy.  I'd love to buy into the Legacy line of Firefly, but am not going to invest in 5/9ths of the crew/passengers for Funko to cancel the line and not get the Tams, Book or Inara.

Half of me is super annoyed by this and gets where all of you are coming from, and the other half of me thinks to hell with it... it's a COMIC CON exclusive, and if we couldn't get one from our desks a few days later, what grievance to we really have here?

It's not like this figure isn't going to be available in droves when the movie launches, the only real reason to want this is for the packaging.

True, but we haven't seen the likes of 6" Han in Carbonite or Salacious Crumb at retail yet.  It'd be nice if Hasbro would release such exclusives as long as they're in different packaging like how this FO Stormtrooper is at least getting a wide-scale release.  Some other companies do it with their exclusives.

I guess this is the time where we have to keep checking since they usually add more in the next few days.

Out of stock.

Looks like a buy 1 get 1 50% off character apparel, toys, backpacks, school supplies....

Or anything that wasn't primarily intended for a 4 year old.

Yeah, but to the complainers' defense, the box does say for ages 4+

There are some Lightning Deals going on as part of Prime Day.  The following two are waitlists at this time:

TBS 3.75" Leia in Boussh disguise - $9.99
TBS 3.75" C-3PO - $9.99

Quick lightning sale.  All done.

Rex is now on sale though for the $9.99 price.

Edit:  Nope... Boushh is still available I see.

What's a Kubrick?

That is correct!  Toy lines: Where are they now for $800, Alex.

Wow!  Stunning!

The journalism and related facts don't matter to the people at Fox 29. And this is the kind of crap that I've come to expect from local news...

This is the problem with media anymore.  There are no objective stories anymore... everything's told with a slant.  Even ads do not adhere to what the product actually does (car ads about cars doing CG stunts on a crowded highway to get to a meeting on time (despite the small, brief disclaimers)).  I didn't take journalism classes, but my language arts classes definitely taught me about the credibility of advertisement and journalism.

Might actually clear the pegs now... Either because of complaints or people will hoard the Leias hoping the price will go up.

But, yeah, to complain now?  That Leia has been sitting on that peg for almost two years.

I can't wait to see her invisible jet if they ever show it.  I hope we can actually see her sitting there as if she's floating in air.

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: San Diego Comic-Con 2015

That's a pretty good summary, Jeff.

Where to go, What to buy? How much to budget?

Instead we hear "We can't talk about Fall 2015 and beyond" or "There will be something for fans of all scales".

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: San Diego Comic-Con 2015

Thanks Siddy! I kept trying to think of how to direct Jeff back on course, but we've gotten to know each other decently enough that it's making me soft on him. He's a real genuine guy. But, I also think it shows that they're obviously personally excited about the 6 inch line.

Yeah, I got the same impression after meeting and talking to him at a couple Toy Fairs I was at a couple years back.  I guess what I don't understand and I think a lot of people are wondering this as well is, what's the harm in saying, expect # 6" figures, # 6" vehicles, # 3.75 figures, etc.  It isn't revealing anything about the plot or what is being release (if it's just TFA or if there's Classic or Prequel, too).  In the end, all fans want to know from Hasbro is "How much money should I be bringing to Midnight Madness on 4 September?" so they can budget for it.

Nick, that's a pretty good article.  If Disney and LFL are holding back on info that's their prerogative.  I think it does generate interest going into the movie by knowing very little about the story.  The spoiler-free people will be happy.  Disney/LFL have been throwing little bones out there with that BTS video.  Quite frankly, the movie industry has a habit of showing too much in trailers that one can piece together the entire movie before going to the theater.  It's nice to have some mystery.
