Star Wars Anthology / Re: Rogue One (SPOILERS)
« on: May 28, 2016, 11:32 PM »
It's just a way to sell more product.  ;)

I'll be interested in seeing how these walkers perform in the grand scheme of things.  Will they be easier to destroy (lighter armor?) than the ATs?  To me, it felt like the Rebels first encountered the ATs on Hoth (even though they knew of them) since they had inadequate firepower to take them down and only realized using the tow cables would work if they could get close enough.  The Rebels seemed unsure of how to defeat them.

My read on that was that the speeders couldn't take them down.  I thought perhaps an X-wing or Y-wing could do it, but they needed the X-wings to escort the transports.  Never saw a Y-wing on Hoth.

This last episode was not a good one to air going into hiatus.  Why the hell has Daniel gone bat-crap crazy after basically an afternoon at the hacienda?

Don't even get me started on Chris.

I just don't like how everyone in this show is acting like the folks in TWD when the apocalypse has only been going on for about 5 weeks in Fear.  TWD is at least 2 years into it!

In three months you'll find out this is actually a clone of Steve Rogers.

I watched the pilot and it's interesting.  I've never read Preacher, but I've read Crossed and The Boys, so I'm a fan of Garth Ennis' work.

If anyone missed the pilot, they are going to re-air it this Sunday at 9 pm EDT.

Anyone watch PREACHER?

Not familiar with the comics at all. Seemed a mess o'weird to me, but enough to get me to watch again.

That's Garth Ennis for ya!  I heard that Cinemax has picked up another one of his titles...The Boys.  If you haven't read it, it's worth a look!

The Wookiee Arcade / Star Wars: Uprising

I don't know if anyone else is playing this one, but I have for a while and it's got a pretty good story taking place right after the events of ROTJ.  Basically, the Regional Governor of the Anoat sector has set up an iron blockade and has supressed the news of the Emperor's death at Endor.  As you grind through missions and advance, you eventually find a blocked transmission from Princess Leia about the death of the Emperor and you go on to try and liberate the various systems in the secotr.

There's a lot of grinding and resource gathering and leveling up.  But the story is pretty fun.  There's also a guild (known as Cartels) system, and I recently started a Jedi Defender cartel if anyone ese is playing.

And with that cape he obviously hasn't been paying attention to Edna Mode.

If we shot it to Neptune, it would almost be there by now.  :D

I finally got to see the new Capt America yesterday.  I absolutely loved it!  I am having a hard time trying to figure out which is my favorite Marvel movie at this point, it's a toss up between Civil War and Winter Soldier.

Also, after being a Spider-Man fan fr over 40 years, I have finally seen a good and accurate Spider-Man movie.  :D

Oh yeah - the little birds being street urchins was stupid, too.   :P

Perhaps you should go re-watch season one.  Varys has always used street urchins as his little birds.

I can't decide if Strand is actually gay or just really committed to a con.

The Anovos suits are made with ABS plastic, .9 or .09 thickness.  This stuff is flexible but kinda thin compared to other armors out there.  So far, from what I've seen from ad RPF, although these tend to be thin compared to other suits, they are very well made.

Oddly enough...that might be the most realistic looking Leia yet.

I'm not 100% sure of the timeline...but I'm guessing it's only been a couple of days since the plane crash and the group leaving LA.  Plausible that the guy could still be alive.

Anyone buying Strand's story about the house in Baja?  I'm not.

I use a dremel for some sanding, but I went with lexan scissors and the score and snap method for cutting.

It comes down to personal preference, but from what I've researched, you need to be careful cutting with a dremel.

Luckily, the cut lines on all the pieces is real easy to follow!
