Did anyone watch this thing last night?

I'm not a big fan of Hollywood's I love me attitude and all their awards, but my wife was watching so I'd look up from what I was reading from time to time.  Is it just me, or did all the ladies presenting look like they were anorexic and unhealthy?  I mean, many of them looked like a skeleton with skin.  I think everyone enjoy's a thin woman, but come one, go at a hamburger.

Finally got pics of my focus together.  I'm still missing a total group shot with the IKEA cases and a couple of MOC figures that I just haven't bothered to upload.

It's odd how quickly life can change. I have been so excited the past 4 months that my wife was going to give birth to our first child in May. We went to the doctor on Monday for a checkup and sonogram. The sonogram showed the heartbeat we had seen in the previous two was no longer there. So this morning my wife had surgery and thankfully is resting now after the two of us have been pretty much sleepless since Monday morning.

For those of you that pray, please do so. We were so excited and thought we were out of the "dark" time of pregnancy only to have this happen. Only those who have had this happen or have kids can understand how truly devastated we are.  Sadly the next time she gets pregnant, we are going to have a constant fear hanging over us.

Yesterday afternoon, I head off with a buddy to take some batting practice (I'm playing softball in 3 leagues in the DFW area) and she takes the test.

It obviously comes back positive and I'm freakin' thrilled to death.  For you dads, you know how high I'm flying right now.

Okay, because I don't want to have to go through and reload everything to village photos from RS, I'm just going to send you to the RS page where I've already got the stuff loaded up.  Enjoy, after about 3 years, this is what I've put together.  You know how it is, you post at one site, you have to post it everywhere.

I've got a vintage Han on each cardback.  Example, Original Han on SW, Bespin Han on ESB, Endor Han ROTJ, Carbonite Han POTF, etc, etc...

I have finally completed this thing.  It's been almost two years of off and on work and finally I've finished this thing.  Here's a teaser pic for you and follow the for the whole gallery of pics.  The pics range from picking parts, to some painting, and through some of the construction.  Although not all of the constructions is documented.  I know that some of the parts may be mounted a little crooked, I did that on purpose for the most part, but not all of them.  Remember, it's an ugly.

The entire lot is now sold.

Recently my wife and I have bought a house and have finally gotten moved in. I was trying to decide how much of my collection I really wanted, and how much I should sell. Included in that were my customs. I have two completed ships and one I've been working off and on for about a year on. I've got a ton of stuff about to head to eBay, and a lot of it is my modern Han collection.

I had a custom gunship and wa on the fence about either selling it or trashing it. When it was moved, it apparently got jarred pretty good and is now headed to the trash bin. My other custom was a sandspeeder based loosely on the unproduced Kenner version in the 80's. I'm not sure what to do with the speeder. I don't really think I want it because it's taking up space and much of my interest lately has turned away from SW and custom projects. Anybody been in the situation before? What did you do?
