It's really tough for me to get worked up about toys. I've been collecting as long as I can remember, and like everything in life, things change. Who would have thought that after 40 years we'd still be getting new toys and new content, irrespective of their "perceived" quality?
There is not some grand conspiracy to kill the 3.75" SA line in order to up-sell collectors on 6". There are not Hasbro suits plotting the screwing of life-long collectors in order to usher in a new generation of younger consumers. The market is the market and the Hasbro's target market is children, not man-children.
Adult collectors have had an unprecedented run of getting some of the most obscure figures in any line, canon or otherwise. And there are more options than ever to cater to the adult collector with dispensable income in nearly any scale imaginable. If you can't find anything that you like, or if everything sucks since Disney took over, you need to rethink your fandom. No one is forcing us to consume the latest items they throw the Star Wars logo on.

Watched the latest episode, "Twin Suns" via DisneyXD app
The "Good":
- breathtaking visuals again - very cinematic
- the score brought back familiar PT and OT themes that instantly draw you into the universe
- Stephen Stanton's spot on Obi-Wan, scary good
- Final scene of Obi-Wan overlooking the homestead
The "Bad":
- they spent too much time with Ezra in this episode
- I can't help but think they botched the Maul stuff. It just did't have the emotional payoff I was looking for. He was built up so much in the Clone Wars and his re-introduction into Rebels it ultimately fizzled out in the end, IMO.
The "Good":

Just ran a report that the Revan wave (Revan himself actually) was found at Best Buy in Atlanta. Might want to pop in to your local store if you're in need.

I heard a rumor of a possible Spirit Obi-Wan, no definitely confirmation/details yet.

« on: February 21, 2017, 10:55 AM »Based on all of the materials that were released, along with the case info, it looks like Vader only comes with the special pack. Remember how Hasbro presented the 30AC coin portfolio back in 2007 with Vader? I think this offering is along those lines.
Correct. Vader comes on the Vintage card inside the Legacy Pack only. He will not be sold on the Vintage card outside of the pack. Vader will be sold in the Black Series (red/black) box at retail later.
DS Commander and Jawa will also be sold in the Black Series boxes.

The vintage cards are okay. Kind of reminds me of the genial giants jumbo figures since they're huge!
Hasbro can't seem to get their images to jive with one another regarding her. The carded image looks like the same head we've gotten before but loose images look different/better. Who know what we're getting at this point?
